This is YUGE for America

Da Donald has already started turning America around. Get out of his way libtards or you're going to get run over, and your plans to tax cow farts isn't going anywhere.
From the earliest days of his campaign, Donald J. Trump made keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States his signature economic issue, and the decision by Carrier, the big air-conditioner company, to move 2,000 of them from Indiana to Mexico was a tailor-made talking point for him on the stump.
On Thursday, Mr. Trump and Mike Pence, Indiana’s governor and the vice-president elect, plan to appear at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant to announce they’ve struck a deal with the company to keep a majority of the jobs in the state, according to officials with the transition team as well as Carrier.
In exchange for keeping the factory running in Indianapolis, Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence are expected to reiterate their campaign pledges to be friendlier to business by easing regulations and overhauling the corporate tax code. In addition, Mr. Trump is expected to tone down his rhetoric threatening 35 percent tariffs on companies like Carrier that shift production south of the border.
Roughly 10 percent of United Technologies’ $56 billion in revenues comes from the federal government, with the Pentagon its single largest customer. Its Pratt & Whitney division, for example, supplies the engines for the Air Force’s most advanced fighters and host of other planes.
While Carrier is best known for its air-conditioners, it also sells a variety of other heating and cooling equipment for homes and small businesses, like the furnaces and fan coils made at the Indianapolis factory.

I'm planning to install a new ductless AC system in a weekend house.
Don't want to do Mitsubishi, but may do a Carrier if this Thursday announcement comes off as scheduled.

Yes, it's hilarious how easily Trump is punking you clowns.
For decades you losers dumped on the Democrats for tariffs on imports because they wanted to protect jobs in this country. You said they didn't understand free trade. You argued that tariffs needed to be eliminated to improve profitability of U.S. companies.
Now you're applauding a guy who threatens to put tariffs on imports once again, to protect jobs, just the way Democrats used to have things.
You really have no idea how dimwitted you guys are, do you?
Punked again by your handlers.

So let me get this straight...
Carrier will end up cutting more than 1000 jobs in this "deal." And the tax payers will end up subsidizing Carrier in the form of tax breaks. Tax breaks to keep an unprofitable company in business? OH wait...this is right up Trump's alley. Those 4 casino bankruptcies.
Now every CEO out there is going to demand tax breaks or else they will send jobs to Mexico. Talk about pay for play!!! And Trump calls this "economic policy."

Yep, libtards are melting down and Obama cancelled his golf game after learning Da Donald was able to keep Carrier from leaving before he even was sworn in while Obama failed after 8 years as President to stop it.

Elkin, this has been explained to you before.
If you have a business career, not every single business move you make will work or succeed.
Trump participated in an economic cycle in Atlantic City.
When it ran its course, he moved on.
Every investor has had some stock which didn't work out.
Only silly liberals like Elkin think every single business succeeds and every single stock soars endlessly.

I've got a vacation cabin where I did just that about three years ago, I went with the Mitsubishi though, provides heat and cooling, works awesome and less than half the cost in electricity than the baseboard heaters it had in it.
On another subject, looks like Palin might be our next VA Secretary, would be a great pick, talk about a fighter for the Vets.

No Johnnie...
You're full of shit as usual. The economic cycle did not put Trump's casinos into bankruptcy 4 times. Trump's casinos went into bankruptcy because he was a piss poor capital allocator and business manager.
Trump's casinos were overleveraged, owed so much money at such a high interest rates, they could not survive. No matter how you look at it Trump was totally incompetent in running casinos.
Now Trump is claiming victory by keeping jobs in Indiana...by having to give tax breaks to an air conditioning company? So they had to give them tax breaks to become more profitable? And Carrier will still be laying off more than a 1000 workers? That's Trump's idea of "economic policy."

But Elkin, that begs the question:
Why are you not a billionaire?
It is because it is hard to become one.
Did Trump manage every business he ever owned perfectly? Of course not.
Does every stock you buy grow to the sky? No.
Trump, like many another businessman, learned over time to have less debt.
How much debt do I keep in my own life? None at all.
So let's say, just for fun, that Trump was not a great casino manager. Even if that is true, so what?
He is a billionaire, and you are not, and you can't ever become one because you lack his overall business and investment acumen.

The conservatards have lambasted Obama for the better part of 8 years for the government intervention in business. Now Trump has gotten directly involved into the negoiations of tax breaks for corporations. Trump has directly violated the "non-interference" screed pushed by the conservatards for years...and now Trump is running his self proclaimed victory lap for being a hyprocrite.
Carrier is supposed to get 7 million in tax rebates paid by Indiana tax payers. But they were supposed to get 65 million dollars in cost savings from lower labor costs. The numbers just add up...at least on the surface. But Carrier's parent company United Technologies gets billions in funding from the federal government for research and about 10% of their revenues are from governent orders. Carrier is just looking to avoid any negative press so they wouldn't lose the lucrative government contracts.

Da Donald stopped Hillary and total take over of America by libtards, he saved us dude...so yes I applaud him and will do so no matter what he does from this point forward, libtards almost had the Supreme Court for the next generation, that would have been the destruction of America with Hillary in charge. So not matter what you say, you can't change my deep appreciation and respect for the Da Donald

Isn't this the biggest uprising in over a century?
I've seen a few elections, and thought there was nothing much new, but 2016 was by far the most entertaining U.S. election.
First, nobody has ever been as funny as Trump, and no other candidate has better represented the frustration of American citizens at the out of touch Political Class.
Everybody and everything was against Trump. But he won easily anyhow.

Why is it conservatives just don't get humor if it isn't fart jokes or something demeaning women and minorities?

Yes, this was YUGE for America!
Today United Technologies said they are going to take the $7 million in taxpayer money (tax breaks) Trump got for them to automate the Indianapolis Carrier plant which will then----wait for it-----lead to fewer jobs at the plant.
http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf ... ays_i.html
yeah, Trump did great.
First, he only 'saved' fewer than half the jobs at the plant with a deal that actually pays the company to eliminate even more of them.
But at least the building will still be there making money for Carrier, even when nobody from town works there any longer.
Signs of the kind of pro-business/anti-blue-collar-worker 'solutions' we can expect to see from a Trump administration.

The Carrier "deal" even prompted Sarah Palin to come out claiming it was crony capitalism.
Trump's "deal" is antithesis to the conservative free-market screed they gave been pushing for years. Since when does the government picks who wins and who loses? A system where the political elites pick who wins and loses is called socialism.
Now Trump is now the socialist in chief. Picking and choosing arbitrarily who will get favorable treatment by the political elite is not how a free market system works. This is how special interests slither their way in from the swamps and manipulate the market.
Trump's "deal" is nothing more than selective corporate welfare which is nothing more than corruption and socialism. Trump is draining the swamp and emptying it out into the Trump white house...

I didn't think you would turn on Trump so quickly over the Carrier scam, but your wake up call had to come sometime, right?
