Note the FIGHT option as the third choice.

Now imagine what it would have been like if the attacker had been armed with a semi-automatic, large-volume magazine, assault style rifle.

This case perfectly illustrates the intelligence of making it difficult for average people to carry firearms in schools, bars, court houses, airports, etc., etc., and letting trained police deal with the attackers.
With guns, people nearly always die.
With other weapons, the extent of the damage is far less serious.
