Trump is paying up 25 Million for the scam called Trump University. The guy who claimed that he doesn't settle....just settled.
Chalk up another business fail for Trump.

Come on, Elkin, put your thinking cap on.
If you had just become president, would you be clearing your agenda of petty crap like that?
Sure, you would, and you would even pay 25 m to do it.
By the way, is that a lot of money to a multi-billionaire?
No.

There are many reasons to settle cases.
One of them might be that Trump Univ was a total scam out to steal money. But there's plenty of evidence it wasn't.
Was it an attempt to make money by transmitting some valuable business principles? Probably so.
But there are many, many reasons to settle a case, like not paying lawyers forever, like clearing your desk for future matters, etc.

Who cares, it worked, he put it to bed. 25 million is chump change to the Donald. He continues to amaze with me with how stuff like this just rolls off his back like water on a duck. Now libtards will have to look for something else to harp on.

Not very farsighted on Donnie's part: Settling will only encourage more lawsuits. Donnie really should have attended Trump university to learn this.

If he had settled during the campaign...the media and Hillary would have used it against him for sure.....So he stalled them...
Told the media..."he doesn't settle" to shut them up.....
He won the election.....Hillary is now irrelevant...And so now you can see what a brilliant move it was !
Elk you should be applauding the Donald.....those "students" that sued him.....should be ashamed of themselves
if they take their money back.....The Donald just gave them a final lesson worth many times what they had paid!

Leave it up to Trump to pay a 25 million dollar settlement for a failed series of Real Estate workshops.
Now that Trump blamed Hillary for starting the birther movement I suppose Trump will blame Hillary for the failure of Trump University...

Leave it up to Trump to pay a 25 million dollar settlement for a failed series of Real Estate workshops.
He made $380 million off those workshops and will write the $25 million off in taxes, the Donald is the da man!

"and will write the $25 million off in taxes,..."-RealTool
He doesn't PAY any taxes to write off, dummy. Trump hasn't finished reaping the benefit of his $960 million dollar incompetence from the 90s yet. Because of his immense failure back then, we're paying his freight to this day.
The reactionary Right (like RealTool) is actually crowing about Trump taking the suckers for a ride with his word and not making restitution.
We are undoubtedly seeing a preview of the sort of 'justice' to expect from a Trump administration.

Nobody should pay one thin dime more in tax than the law requires.
Bill Clinton deducted his used underwear. No kidding, he really did.
If Democrats like Hillary wanted to rewrite the tax code, they had decades of chances to do so.

Do you know how stupid that statement is? Dude, he's not paying taxes on it because he's writing it off which is what everyone does when we file our taxes. Or are you saying you pay more taxes than you have too?

Once again, you clowns are actually bragging about how wonderful Trump is because he manages not to pay any taxes he isn't liable for.
But when millions of poor people do exactly the same thing you bitch about how terrible it is they "don't have any skin in the game" and you want to figure out a tax code that can fleece them of money they don't have.
Never mind that the poor are not liable for any more taxes than Trump is.
Meanwhile you want to figure out a tax code that leaves guys like Trump with even more money.
It's fundamentally revolting.
It comes down to you supporting rich freeloaders who are "smart" enough to be grossly incompetent in their businesses and lose nearly a billion dollars (and then each year make us pay him back for it) while you bitch about the poor being poor while doing nothing about it. And then you want to cut their social safety net as well.
This reveals the soul of the conservative. It's why they all so desperately believe in God.
They need to go to church to ask forgiveness on Sunday so they can go out the rest of the week and be sociopathic assholes toward their fellow man.
If I were as vile as them toward my fellow man, I would need to believe there was someone to forgive me too.

It was fundamentally revolting for the Clintons to use every tax dodge available to make certain their money was not taxes.
Including setting up a pay-to-play "charity" which made them rich.
Nobody has the moral obligation to pay one thin dime more than the tax code demands.
The Clintons had enormous political influence for decades, and they did nothing to change the tax law.

Then goes and loses 25 million dollars in a court settlement!
This is business genius according to Trump and his useful idiots.

It's gratifying to finally see RealTool saluting the poorest of this country for not giving the government more money than they owe instead of the usual denigration he exhibits for the least fortunate among us who don't pay income taxes, just like Trump.
I've wondered what it would take to get some understanding for the poor from the Right.
As it turns out, all it took was to expose one of the country's richest as a freeloader and now they have nothing but praise for those who don't pay Federal taxes.

Nobody said he did, Tool. YOU'RE the one who said it repeatedly.

And you in particular want to put a new tax system in place that takes more money from the poor and less from guys like Trump. You're scum.
Being reliable hypocrites, you all denigrated the poor for it until a rich white guy is caught doing it.
Then it's suddenly hunky-dory, even admirable, with you clowns.

I've always favored a more flat tax system.
Perhaps even one based on a national sales tax, which would nab all the illegal immigrants presently evading income taxes.
My entire approach would be based on attempting to elevate the economic status of people -- not even them out and destroy incentive as socialism does.

Sure, johnny, and when anyone put forward a Value Added Tax that would do just that, you railed against "Socialism" and America becoming like Europe.
Any tax that did what you just said you support would be defeated by raving clowns exactly like you.

Sure, johnny, and when anyone put forward a Value Added Tax that would do just that, you railed against "Socialism" and America becoming like Europe.
German voters several years ago voted for a 18% value added tax, it was passed guess what? They overlooked doing away with the income taxes, so now the average "working" Germany pays the 18% value added taxes with the money they left over after paying their 40% income taxes.
So I'm all for a value added tax as long as all other taxes go away. We would collect 100's of billions in unpaid taxes and save 100's of billions by doing away with the IRS. If you buy something, you pay your fair share of taxes, no getting away with it. If you're poor you're going to pay very little since you have very little to spend. I would exempt food, funeral and medical expenses, everything else have the value added tax.
The Donald will fix it.

The EIC is a part of the Trump tax plan that is supposed designed to help the deplorables in the rust belt states. You jackasses lie so much now you can't even keep up with the lies.
Trump claims that he will provide millions of jobs to the poor deplorables who lost their jobs to outsourcing and automation. Really...you have people who have worked manual labor for their whole lives. So does Trump really think those people will be trained to operate complex machinery and computerized systems? There is a skills gap in the rust belt states, those people don't even know basic reading, writing, and math skills. There are thousands of manufacturing jobs that go unfilled for this reason. And now Trump is claiming that he will build a wall to keep the jobs from fleeing the country? Or is it now a fence. Let's see how long it will take him to digress and call it a virtual wall...

Yep.
Elkin's comment reveals why Dems lost the election too.
Elkin believes manual laborers are stupid.
The truth is that the manual laborers I grew up working with were just as smart as any other group of Americans, but they didn't have as much opportunity.

Elkin believes manual laborers are stupid.
The clown feels manual labor should be set aside for Manuel and blacks who he feels aren't intelligent enough to figure out how to operate machinery. As a young teen I did lots of "Manuel" labor which I used to fund my education and poverty, I attended classes when I could, and worked when the jobs were available. The thought that as a healthy single male I would need to beg for social assistance never occurred to me. I finished my education that "I" paid for and then started my own business that "I "funded, something libtards would consider cruel.

Please forgive me for assuming you ever scored in college, johnny.
Since you weren't tall enough to play center, I thought that would make you the small forward.
But now that I think about it, you are far more qualified as a low post, given your previous experience in that position on the fence line back home.

Where?
So "you" paid for "your" education? If that's true then you should be getting a refund!
And you just proved my point, that is, your reading comprehension skills are piss poor and/or are to lazy to bother reading what I wrote, or you are a liar and deliberately made up some stupid shit as usual.
Regardless, the deplorables in the rust belt will not be getting their "old jobs" back. Trump will not get them back. Bannon could really give a shit if his base is on food stamps. Bannon only cares about getting more clicks on Breitart. Trump could get those people to dig ditches again with his shovel ready programs...but it will be only temporary.
