This is fucking nuts. I have never seen so many people so angry and talking about violence. Racial violence. And carrying guns. And I don't mean just the local rednecks. I wasn't alive for the 60'S. (I realize being young is a critical flaw that Dick points out regularly . Along with coming from an impoverished and working class upbringing.)
My question is, was it this bad back in the day?

America was never perfect.
The land was taken from natives, and there was slavery.
But America was the best big country in human history.
It is rapidly being ruined by socialism and dumb immigration policy -- the very things which destroyed Europe's greatness.

I was a kid in the 60s, and yes it was bad then too. There was the Black Panthers, the Weather Underground, the SDS, the SLA, Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dorn blowing things up and all the peace loving hippies rioting, burning and destroying in protest over the war in Vietnam.
Heard a former NYC detective being interviewed yesterday. He recalled cops being assassinated in the 70s by black punks that would just walk up and shoot a cop in the back of the head. Read about the Alphabet City area of NYC area back in the 60s and 70s. A war zone cops wouldn't go near at night.
So yeah, it was bad then too.

So......You were there, and it was bad.
Now, You're here, and things are bad.
I think I'm seeing a correlation.

As you know, I keep scientists and statisticians on staff to deal with questions like this which crop up in the forum.
After studying the question, and then feeding the data into a 1983 IBM PC Jr with dual floppy drive, the results are in:
More often than Pete Maravich shot, Clowntoker posts on this forum.
Thus, the common factor for all forum problems would appear to be Clownhicker's presence here.
Quod erat demonstrandum.
