There was one winner in the Mega Million game last night. This is what the winner can expect.

Please note: I have posted before on how the Lottery is a sucker's bet and is a foolish way for states to raise money. For those with little grasp of mathematics, the odds of winning being approx. 1 in 257M, buying 257M tickets is not going to ensure that you have a winner. EACH ticket has a 1 in 257M chance of winning. John Oliver jokingly says that you have the same odds as being hit by an alien spacecraft twice in the same day.

Since Brexit sent the stock market downward, I've been living in a cardboard box and selling apples to make ends meet.
To log on, I merely ride my bicycle to McD's and cop their wi-fi.
For retirement security, I have the same as illegal immigrants do -- free medical care, free public school for my kids, free food stamps, plus the soup kitchen a local church runs.
In the future, I plan to score some free clothing,
Long term, there's Title XVI of the Social Security Act, as amended.
Let's all lift up our voices in song: Our country tis of thee, sweet land of subsidyyyyyyyyyyyy...

The Clintons became rich the easy way, they created a tax free slush fund and in return for donations from individuals and countries for favors from the U.S. government. They have over $3 billion in tax free unaccountable money with millions pouring in every day.

I usually don't play the lottery, but I know and have been associated with two people who won the top prize in the lotto before they added the power ball thing. They aren't friends, I just had a connection to both. Winning turned one woman from a bitch to whatever is four or five levels above that, and made her into a white trash snob. Literally went from a single wide trailer house to the mansion on the hill.
I don't think it changed the other guy much. Made his heirs a little better off though.

Oh, the crystal chandeliers light up the paintings on your wall.
The marble statuettes are standing stately in the hall.
But will the crowd that has you laughing loud help you dry your tears when the new wears off of your crystal chandeliers?

Obviously Clown looks at Charlie as a traitor to his black roots....because he loved country music.
Had he made his mark in soul, jazz or blues he would not be disrespecting him.
Clown don't ever say you're not racist...

The only official statement of earnings from the lottery that I could find was from Rhode Island, they claim to keep 11 cents of every lottery dollar. John Oliver, who has a bigger research staff than I do, claims that 35 cents of every lottery dollar goes to the state. Being unable to have access to about 70% of the money a state takes in is very inefficient.

I am far more handsome, and far more Irish, than Charlie Pride.
Today being Monday and thus a work day, I plan on making a front door for the cardboard box in which I am now residing.
Exterior duct tape should make great hinges for it.

snakeoil, here's a chart of state take per lottery:
http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/what ... the-state/
West Virginia seems to have the best idea as far as state funding goes. They have a high voluntary taxation rate but pay out almost nothing in prizes. Oregon and South Dakota are similarly designed.
Of course, it is a high tax on the poor that RealTool and the reactionaries claim the poor never pay.
Rich people generally don't play the lottery.

But isn't a lottery ticket a very good investment for a poor person?
For a day or so, they receive a dream.

Watched a program some time ago on lottery winners.....found that the successful lottery winner is not
the one time or occasional player....but the full time player who dumps hundreds if not thousands of dollars
on lottery tickets and plays everyday if possible ....so I guess those people do see it as an investment....
