Money troubles close college once headed by Sanders' wife. MONTPELIER, Vt. – A Vermont college that has faced financial troubles since it was headed by the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will close at the end of the month, officials announced Monday.

Burlington College has been struggling under the weight of expenditures during Jane Sanders' presidency from 2004 to 2011. Sanders left the private liberal arts college deep in debt in 2011 and it's been unable to recover. A request to the Sanders campaign for comment from Jane Sanders drew no response.

Last night on CNN Hillary's gay campaign manager Robby Mook brought up the fact that Bernie's wife demonstrated what happens when you spend without a plan and questioned why Hillary's husband is being attacked by the media but other spouses of candidates are being ignored. When asked what Bernie's wife did, Mook said "see, you just made my point" he then said it's below him to talk about the spouses and switched the subject. Typical Clinton hit job of planting the seed and then washing their hands of the slime job that develops. That's going to Bern Sanders up!
