Considering Trump's unique genius for strategy, it may be he long ago entered into an agreement with Bernie that if Bernie keeps the heat on Hillary and forces her to swing far left while expending her funds and exhausting her fragile health, the ticket with be President Trump and VP Sanders. There is no way in hell Clinton could defeat a team like that, her only supporters would be blacks and lesbians.

One place where Cruz could do well might be the Sup Ct.

Also, with folks like Earl Warren, there's a recent history of overt politicians becoming justices.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sotomayor are also politicians working for Left Wing causes, but they pretend they aren't.
