Migth seem like a stupid question.

but i noticed that several users write their email into comments. do any off you have an idea about this? in most cases there is not a question included. So im thinking do they want me to respond to it or is this some kind of VW thing i dont know abuot?

It's pretty silly, but it's been a thing here for a long time.

Some viewers seem to think that it's a dating site and that all the models want to have personal conversations with the viewers (Because "Hey, BB, hot bod xxx@xxx.com" is suuuuuch the effective pickup line) or will email 'outtakes' of the photoshoots or become lifelong penpals or whatever. Honestly, I can't see this ever working.

It's always been strange. If a contributor wants to talk, they'll do it in the forum or in the comments of the contribution itself.

Mostly, I think it's a place for robots to have conversations. One robot will post the same message on every post. Later, page scrapers harvest the email addresses from the pages and then spam them mercilessly. :-)

Oh, and I see you DO promise to write back people that include email addresses. That kind of encourages it to continue. If that's your thing, go for it!

The case I find odd is when a model doesn't respond to comments EVER (and that's OK because they can be a shit show) and someone will pour out their undying devotion and encourage the the model to write back in email. Or they'll make the same robopost over and over.

If you want to just hang out and chat the "catch all" topic is the COFF Town Hall in the Private Shots section. Anything goes in there... we all just post whatever happens to come into our head there. We had a great round on flashing a year or two back. Then it died out a bit. A lot of other random topics are in the Private Shots forum as well... music, movies, jokes, whatever.

i try to respond to everything! thats why i dont understand the emails without a question. but i think somedude cleared that for me

There was a time when people talked outside the forums, and even met each other.

Some still do, Merlin. I have met some...and personally talked with some of them.

I have emailed some that have asked me something specific

Meeting does not imply anything else, so you can still be "1 to 1". People have been known to get together for parties, to take pictures or trade tips. I used to help some of the contributors with their pictures by email.
