All part of the plan to not only get the conservative votes but also the votes of many who would normally not vote for a Republican. Besides Megyn Kelly based her questions on a false premise. She deliberately lied about it. It was dim witted and a gotcha question based on a falsehood. She truly was out to eliminate his from the running. Then follow that up with a FOX news release yesterday "“We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

To top it off Ronald Reagan skipped the last Iowa debate during the 1980 campaign, win, win, win for Trump. You can't win big unless you gamble big and that's exactly what Trump is doing.

Trump doesn't need the debate.......Ted and Jeb do. But only if Trump is there.....

Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace, like the CNN and CNBC moderators, were just gasbags pretending to be neutral "journalists."

her bosses that a rematch with Trump would be the "fight of the century".

So she got the assignment to be a moderator again......

Fox News set out, in the first debate, to destroy Trump's candidacy. Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace were very clearly unfair to Trump, and indisputably were seeking to take him down with the apparent purpose of setting up some other Republican (probably Jeb).

Does NBC favor any Democrat over any Repub? Sure. We all know that, and so does CBS and USA Today and the LA Times and the Balto Sun and the Wash Post and so on.

Kelly, Ted, Jeb....they all need Trump up there on that stage.....
