I figured all they would do is give public workers the day off and shut the schools down while making the police "they hate" do the dirty work of searching for bombs while they get an extra paid vacation day.

This was a probe to see how the authorities would react. Look for an attack on a school next. Followed by Obozo calling for disarming law abiding citizens.
