Trump declared in June, and it is now just a few months later.

What specifics did JFK or Reagan have at this stage? None.

What Trump has are sound principles such as, if you lack a border, if you lack the rule of law, you don't have a nation.

As to mass deportation, mandatory E-Verify would take care of a lot (not all) of that in a cheap, humane manner.
