The only problem I have with them is their T&C.

But RCL, how is the Blue section? Do they have decent, active forums? Thinking about joining them even if I don't contribute just based on the site looking good.

I don't think VC will survive in the long run - that is, assuming VW comes back online in short order.

They often ignore evidence of stolen images, preferring to allow those submissions to "win" and likely not have to payout to them for stealing. If you want to compete against the best stolen images and clips, go for it.

A few years back, they were discovered to have their staff write dozens of comments to make it seem they had active viewers. Problem was, they used various names with identical comments, and the deleted any BB posts asking about it. The comments immediately stopped. At least for a time. If you want false praise, go for it. They may even get your hair color correct.

If your looking for a forum like the old RC you won't find it as WatcherWeb. We are lifelong members and they do not have the save type setup. They do have and excellent video chat area though (what we are there for).

Well, I had allowed my RC subscription to lapse before the great hijack, so money is not an issue at the moment. I will re-up as soon as VW/RC comes back on line. Not a poster but do feel friendship with many of you who share yourselves with us.

I have visited VC several times. I have to say I have an uneasy feeling each time. All those eastern European topics lead me to believe VC exists in a lawless environment, and that leads me to question my security via that connection. I'm done with them.

Actually there is a forum like RCBB and almost all RCBBer are playing there since days. Where is that forum? On VC! Where else should it be?

Their T&C aren't any different than any other site ofc this type. They state that the photographer retains the copyright, as the photographer what more can I ask. In reality, one your pics or vids are on the net, good luck. If there is a copyright violation, you need to spot it, or a frient needs to spot it. I've never had a problem getting things removed, even in the former Soviet Union when I've been alerted by friends that my pics were posted there. In reality, unless you have phisically signed away your rights, clicking on an I agree to has no real meaning. I think that you are puttin too much stock into internet verbage that has no real legal force.
