It seems as if in the weeks leading up to Shark Week they've been going WAY overboard with major and repeated headlines with every little incident involving sharks.

RealTool doesn't think the public should know that shark attacks are up 50 times normal or so this year.

Usually South Carolina gets two or three attacks a year. This year they've had something like seven in the last three weeks.

Yeah, who cares? Jump right on in, Tool.
Nothing to see here, Carlos. It's just TV promotion.

You really think Caribbean sharks don't like Cuban food?
johnforbes doesn't have to worry. He's safe.
Professional courtesy.

Actually "media" shark reports are the only thing up this year. If someone is swimming in an area where a shark is seen, it's front page news. Dude, those sharks were there last year, but last year if someone was bumped by one of those sharks it wasn't headline new, it was just one of things that happen.

Next thing you know they'll be trying to stretch it to man made global warming

Tool, they were all "bumped" by a mouthful of teeth this year.

Why don't you learn some facts about it before you make a bigger fool of yourself.

Can't you see it? Increased shark attacks are clearly the result of global warming. The warmer water makes the sharks uncomfortable and cranky.
Like Loser Lucky.

Clownbabbler's bleating tweets are much heavier than water, thus they sink.

I'm quite surprised that the media is paying so much attention to shark attacks....

After all....the sharks are only attacking white people.

Hey sharks are black not only do they attack white people they attack other sharks, it's proven science the darker the skin, the more violent they are.

There's been 7 shark attacks in NC in the last couple of weeks. I'm on the NC coast, and it's interesting to see just how many people are on the beach now, but how few of em are going into the water. I've been "bumped" many times....I never saw the shark, but I was pretty sure it was one....but for some reason, they do seem to be bumping with their TEETH this year.

I'm staying out of the water.

Yo, Johnny......If you'd like to come for a visit, I'll be happy to show you the best swimming and surfing spots. :)

I know a guy who was a real deal, no shit Navy SEAL. He said sharks were always around during their ocean swim training off Coronado, CA. He said they would just push them away when they got too close. Apparently they like to bump you to see if you might be something good to eat.
It is a proven fact that the ocean is salty from the tears of misunderstood sharks that just want to cuddle.

If a shark attacks a human, the human dies or loses a leg or arm. What we have are a commination of shark bumps and fabrications by people injured while swimming blaming it on sharks. It's all Shark week hype.
