Health insurers say higher-than-expected care costs and other expenses blindsided them this year, and they're going to have to hike premiums for individual policies well-beyond 10 percent for 2016.

The proposed double-digit hikes would apply to plans sold on the health insurance exchanges created under President Barack Obama's law, as well as individual coverage sold through brokers and agents. Insurers point to costs from customers they gained under the health care overhaul's coverage expansion. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a roughly 26 percent premium increase, while plans in Illinois and Florida, among several other states, are asking for hikes of 20 percent or more. A rising number of hospitals claim they are operating at a loss and say unless they receive more State and Federal funding, they will have to reduce services or close their doors.

If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, if you like your plan you can keep your plan, healthcare will be cheaper, insurance will be cheaper and it won't cost tax payers one dime. Trust me on this.

they had no one to fight but themselves......

but even the Demos didn't like Obama...so they didn't let him get his way.

Damn right, look at what just a partial government take over has done to our healthcare system. Just imagine if our whole healthcare system looked like the VA healthcare system. A bloated bureaucracy with cost overruns and inefficiencies the accepted norm.
