Baltimore prosecutors are seeking a gag order to prevent the six arrested police and their lawyers from speaking to the media about the Freddie Gray case.

Rochelle Ritchie, a spokeswoman for State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby, said on Friday the office was seeking such an order, but declined to provide details.

Attorney Ivan Bates, released a joint statement from lawyers for the six officers urging Mosby to release evidence in the case.

"Relative to any potential request for a gag order, if the State truly wants transparency and accountability, as they have claimed, then it is imperative that the public understand the facts and the law beyond the bald allegations publicized by Mrs. Mosby," they wrote. "These allegations have yet to be supported by a single piece of evidence, despite repeated requests. We have made one simple repeated request: show us the evidence." Normally police involved in investigating an incident are restricted from talking to the media but the six police officers Mosby is attempting to gag have been charged with crimes so those restrictions don't apply. Bates explained that never before has a person charged with a crime been threatened with further charges if they talk about the incident they're charged for. "Mosby can't have it both ways, they are either police officers investigating the incident or they're subjects of crimes." "We have serious concerns the switch blade knife Mosby claims is illegal may disappear since we've learned her office has removed it from the police evidence room despite normal procedures that it remain under police control until time of trial. Mosby is resting her whole case that an illegal arrest was made; the switch blade knife is key to our defense, she has refused to allow the knife to be viewed or inspected. Officers who have seen the knife claim is it in fact illegal to own in Boston, those officers have received reprimands for leaking that information. This whole case smells of public lynchings to appease Mosby's voter base."

Typical liberal, attempting to once again abuse her power to take away these Officers' 1st Amendment rights. Once she had them charged with crimes she has no right to call them police officers who have the obligation to remain quite.

Speech codes on campus stem from liberals who simply cannot stand to hear different opinions.

A 20-year-old cousin of Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was one of two men fatally shot in separate incidents Wednesday night in Baltimore, the latest victims of the city's relentless pace of gun violence.

The attorneys for the officers charge snapped back today in a real way. They filed complaints against Mosby as having a hate agenda against law enforcement supported by her public rants and explained that she has no right to threaten citizens she's charged with crimes against talking to the media, especially since she's trying to make her case using the media. She is a prime examples that affirmative action isn't working.

Mosby and the Balto mayor have both made many race-based charges and both are clearly biased against the police.

You can bet your bottom dollar the Mayor of Baltimore was assured by the White House the feds would pick up the bill for all damages and that if she played her cards right and did some community organizing she would have a bright future. The March email Mosby is specifically asking the Baltimore police to target the exact intersection where Freddie Gray was apprehended – and work on eliminating increased drug activity.

The email was sent to Baltimore Police Major Osborne Robinson. The most damning part of the communication is from Major Osborne Robinson to his police officers informing them of the State Attorney expectation.

On March 20, Robinson forwarded Mosely's’s email to several Western District officers, including Lt. Brian W. Rice. He was one of the three officers who arrested Gray and one of the six later charged in Gray’s arrest and death.

Robinson told Rice and the other officers to begin a “daily narcotics initiative” focused on North Avenue and Mount Street, according to the email, and said he would be collecting “daily measurables” from them on their progress.

“This is effective immediately,” Robinson wrote, noting that the officers should use cameras, informants and other policing tactics to get the job done. He warned he would be collecting “daily measurables” from them on their progress of stopping the drug trafficking in that area.

So Mosby orders the police to do what has to be done to stop drug deals on the exact intersection where Freddie Gray was apprehended and then arrests them saying they had no legal cause to chase the known drug dealer when he ran upon being approached. She then claims there was no reason to arrest him once he was caught because the knife he was carrying wasn't illegal, which turns out to be she was wrong. She then charges six officers involved in cracking down as she instructed them to do and then turns it into a racial incident where she claims to be the blacks' hero. Why isn't she in jail for abuse of authority?

What difference does it make at what speed you move away from the police. If the cops had no authority to stop him in the first place to detain him, then the cops certainly had no authority to tell him to stop and wait for them (which is detaining him).

If the cops knew he had contraband to begin with, that is, prior to the foot pursuit, then the detainment and arrest would have been legal and there would be no issue. The cops just happened to find a knife which is of questionable legality, and if the DA said the knife was legal, the cops really have no standing...

It's appears at this point Mosby actually set the police up by ordering them to crack down on drug dealers on that intersection knowing she would get an opportunity to go after the police to make the DOJ and Obama happy. It's all about Obama getting control of the police, this crisis was needed.

Even if they do stop you for questioning, you are under no obligation to say anything. So then what? It all means nothing. Because you tell them that you have nothing to say, and you quickly ask to leave. And if they have nothing on you, they MUST let you go. They can't detain you indefinitely. And then he somehow died in custody (we need to see the actual autopsy report, not some spin about it) and then Mosby indicted 6 cops on absurd charges which will never stand up in court.

It's getting even worse. Now it appears there's been a Nationwide initiative by black leaders to "set up" police into public arrests of blacks as part of the agenda to bring law enforcement under federal control. Police are being sent into high crime blacks areas by black leaders with instructions to do what has to be done to stop certain activities and then the black leaders sit back and wait for an incident they can use to bring the feds in and stir up hatred among blacks, thus giving the black leaders more power.

Baltimore is a prime text book example of just that. It was orchestrated at the highest levels, Mosely, the Mayor and Attorney General Lynch already had the arrest records drafted up just waiting to fill in the names of the police officers from the day Mosley order the police to crack down on that intersection. That explains why they were done so lighting fast and have had to have 8 revisions done since to correct errors. They've had to drop the unlawful arrest charges since when they drafted them up they didn't count on the thug having an illegal knife.
