can I post a contri now... or must I hesitate?

I signed up to the Voyeurwebs and went ahead and uploaded a contri.. I got all the pics and comments entered then hit the "Submit" button at the bottom. Waited about ten minutes before I figured I didn't push the button hard enough and hit it again... now I've waited over an hour. Reckon the images got uploaded or is something not working.

While I'm here... how does one go about loading an avatar here for the boards? It wants an image file of no more than 175 pixels... I've tried at least a dozen times with multiple size files from 120 pixels on up to but not exceeding 175 pixels for several days? I'm not having much luck.

OK... I think I have a few things figured out...

If you are a newbie to this BB all signed in and everything. The first ten postings you make on the threads will be delayed for a while, maybe a couple days so that the moderators can determine that you are not a spam bot. If you post something on an active thread, like the COFF Town Hall in Private Shots, your comment won't show up for a few days and will most likely get lost in the shuffle.
I'm thinking I'm going to post comments in here to burn off those first delayed posts to get going.

Now... I also posted a contri for Private Shots. I believe it is in the queue now. When I uploaded the pics and had made comments one the images, I hit the submit button. Nothing happened. I waited about 10 minutes and hit it again... nothing again but I waited over an hour the second time. I finally closed everything down and went on my way.
I came back the next day, signed into the Voyeurweb main page and checked my account... manage contributions and it said my contri was incomplete. Yesterday I noticed the contri had an upload images button, clicked on it and my images were still there but my comments were gone.... so I added some more comments, clicked submit and voila! It all went instantly. So, whatever happened got straightened out.

This is not an important message... other than maybe letting new folks to not give up. I'm really just burning off messages to get past the first 10!

One of these days I'll try to upload an avatar pic again. Haven't had much luck so far. I'm thinking it needs to be at least 120 pixels and no less than that or on up to and not beyond 175 pixels.... and not larger than somewhere around 6 MB. my images that are between 120 X 175 pixels are running around 17 kb. So I dunno? Maybe I need to get past this 10 posting thing first.
Wondering how many postings have been made yet? Reckon it's over ten yet?

Need just a few more posts and I'm in!

Now worries mate. You know I've been here for more than 10 years, yet someone hacked my account a year or so ago and had to start all over again regardless of my RC account and longevity here on the BB's and one of the founding fathers of COFF. Go figure. Nuff said.

It's a long story Star, happened around the transition period. Lots of speculation, some proof. But I think we should leave it at that. Thanks doe's go to one man for keeping us all together at that time, and an additional personal friend that helped me get back on here. They know who they are. Nuff said. And thanks to Diego as well.

Hey Bree... yeah it took me a couple times to upload the contri. Like I always say... if anything is worth doing... it's worth doing twice... or even three times!

I also hear that you've got another RC contri showing!! Woo Hoo... after viewing your deliciously HOT sets... talk about grand "messy" displays!! hehehehe :o
