Prime example of politics dictating science. The CDC had to change their Ebola page because it conflicted with Obama's promise to Americans you can't catch Ebola by riding on a bus with a person who has it.

From day one politics has determine science from everything from climate changes to Ebola under Obama, politics had even dictated how we fight or don't wars and terrorists, it's all about politics.

“The CDC said it doesn’t spread at all by air, then Friday they came out with this poster,” she said. “They admit that these particles or droplets may land on objects such as doorknobs and that Ebola can be transmitted that way.”

Dr. Rossi Hassad, a professor of epidemiology at Mercy College, said droplets could remain active for up to a day.

“A shorter duration for dry surfaces like a table or doorknob, and longer durations in a moist, damp environment,” Hassad said.

The CDC did not respond to a request for comment.

Several colleges have been doing research for years on air transmission of Ebola, so it is apparently very far from certain that it cannot be transmitted that way.

Just one month ago -- one month! -- the head of the CDC claimed any hospital anywhere in America could easily treat Ebola with just one private room/bath.

Why, then, do nurses need Hazmat suits and double gloves?

^^^^^johnforbes is apparently too stupid to understand that nurses are allowed to wear Hazmat suits and double gloves in a hospital room with a bath.

Elkin, please don't call Clownhick "dumb."

He is, of course, but let's be polite here.

But it is true we all need Hazmat suits to protect us from the liquid stupidity of Elkin's posts.

If someone gets infected by touching your spit on a on doorknob doesn't count as an airborne transmission.

Airborne infection occurs when you inhale the aerosol of a person who is infected with, say, influenza. Why? because the flu is a respiratory illness, therefore it's readily transmitted via an aerosol.

My experience with sneezing -- which is nothing to sneeze at -- is that air is involved.

In the world of the CDC, which apparently had no clue about Ebola just one month ago, a sneeze apparently doesn't travel through air to reach, say, a doorknob.

Thank you for that clarification, Doctor Elkin.

So Elk, let me get his straight, if someone sneezes on you can't Ebola but if you touch a door knob they sneezed on you can?

In the big city, when folks such as Elkin sneeze, apparently every droplet is captured in tiny Fed Ex packets, then shipped to every doorknob.

No air transmission is involved.

^^^^^^I can see we're just going to have to endure an endless stream of johnforbes' projectile diarrhea.

We're all going to need Hazmat suits here as long as johnforbes keeps posting his stupid shit.

^^^^^johnforbes is a pain in the neck and a headache.
And from the amount of crap he's spewing, and it being completely out of control, I think we have Voyeurweb's first case of Ebola.

Someone notify the CDC so they can lock this place down and isolate this dimwit from healthy society.

In an interest quirk of fate, Clownsicker's real name is Matt Hazard.

His friends call him "Hazmat." Well, if he had any friends, which he doesn't.

In an equally interesting quirk of fate, johnforbe's real name is Richard Head.

He has gone by "Dick" since he was a boy.
