The sorry state of the GOP

The GOP obstructs the GOP. You can't make this shit up.....
WASHINGTON — In what has become a familiar problem for House Republicans, leaders scrapped a planned vote Thursday afternoon on controversial immigration legislation after it became clear they did not have the support of their own party to pass it.
In a joint statement, GOP leaders said they would continue to work toward a solution to the flood of unaccompanied children detained at the U.S./Mexico border and put the onus on President Obama to act on his own.
"There are numerous steps the president can and should be taking right now, without the need for congressional action, to secure our borders and ensure these children are returned swiftly and safely to their countries," read the statement.
The decision to reverse course on a $659 million emergency spending bill to address the surge of undocumented minors was an embarrassing end to the legislative agenda before the month-long August recess. The GOP bill would have also dispatched National Guard troops to the border and changed a 2008 law to make it easier to return children home to Central America.
GOP leaders went to great lengths to secure passage by allowing a separate vote on a measure that would block Obama from any further executive action to stop the deportation of undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. The concession was believed to be necessary to get enough conservative Republicans to vote for the border funding bill because House Democrats broadly opposed it. The measure mirrored a proposal supported by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who had met with House Republicans privately to encourage them to support it.

Just like how John Boehner and Michele Bachmann just stabbed Darrel Issa in the back over this impeachment crap.
I bet RealTool was really disappointed to learn that, once again, Obama is not (and never will be) "toast" thanks to the GOP disfucntion.

Exactly, Obama just needs to follow the laws and quite breaking them. Someone should sue Obama to force the courts to address the crimes Obama is involved in. Wait until the GOP has both the Senate and the House to impeach him, as it stands now the Senate would just vote against it, so it wouldn't go anywhere, a lawsuit is the answer.

The sorry state of Elkin's Left-leaning thought processes, well, that's more to the point.
Word is that Obama plans amnesty this year anyhow, so Democrats should be happy that the Dear Leader plans to reward illegal immigrants for intentionally violating the law.

So you're saying that it's easier for the GOP to sue Obama for law that has not been implemented which happened to be the same one the GOP tried to overturn 50 times...

The right wing faction of GOP obstructed the version that the left wing GOP created because it was not extreme enough for their taste, knowing very well that the left wing GOP version would be vetoed?
OMG!!! this clown is a real fool....

Elk, do you ever read what you type before posting it? Why would the GOP try to overturn a law not implemented?
Try to get with the discussion, our country has immigration laws, Obama is ignoring them and making his own laws, without regard or respect for citizens, he's on a lawless jihad.

????
The House just approved a resolution a few days ago to sue Obama over the employer mandate. It was delayed for one year to give businesses more time to become in compliance with the law...
So the GOP is suing the president because he's delaying the implementation of an ACA provision, that the GOP happened to attempt to overturn 50 times, or whatever the number?
It doesn't get any nuttier.......

Elkin, you didn't go to law school, nor apparently to undergrad school either, so there will inevitably be things you cannot comprehend.
This is one of them.
In America, there was -- or used to be -- a balance of power.
Obama was not elected dictator, and he doesn't get to supplant the Congress and just do whatever he wants.
Nixon and Clinton richly deserved impeachment. Nixon resigned in 1974 to avoid it. Clinton was not removed because of it.
Obama has told far more lies, about more serious matters, than either Nixon or Clinton.
Liberals think, well, that's dandy, but that's because they cannot think past the end of their nose and realize a radical leftist like Obama will not always be in power.
