It seems that our members have forgot that the prescription drug plan was unfunded and the tax breaks for the rich were unfunded. No funding? Don't worry about it! We can always borrow the money. Our citizens don't worry about paying the principle and a bit of interest. Of course, you can't raise taxes to pay back the principle and interest or the people will bitch. Just run the money printing presses a bit faster, no one will notice that we just cheapened the dollar.

Of course, doing away with the Glass-Stegal Act that allowed the crisis of 2008 to happen (and wiped out many trillions of dollars of wealth) had nothing to do with the ness we are in.

That would have been against the law, Congress did in fact vote for those war and fully funded them.

It is important to remember that it was not just those in the Bush White House who voted for the Iraqi war and the funding, but leading members of Congress as well, including the Democratic-controlled Senate, some of whom are now in senior positions in the Obama administration. John Kerry, Joe Biden, Harry Reid and other leading Democratic supporters of the war led the charge and "ordered" President Bush to pursue the war they voted into law.

Justme-The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were authorized by Congress and were in the budget. But, no new or reaportioned funds were available for the wars. We borrowed the money on the biggest credit card in the world.
