Hillary Clinton is appearing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas this October and her 30 minute speaking fee — $225,000 — has sparked an outcry that seems to be getting louder. Nevada higher education officials signed off on a plan to hike undergraduate tuition at UNLV by 17 percent, complicating the optics for Clinton’s payday. Both Bill and Hillary Clinton’s speaking fees have come under increasingly intense scrutiny lately. Just today, the Washington Post ran a front page story headlined, “How the Clintons went from ‘dead broke’ to rich: Bill earned $104.9 million for speeches,” detailing the couple’s eye-popping earnings on the speaker circuit. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday afternoon that Hillary received $300,000 for a speech she gave earlier this year at UCLA which amounted to a campaign speech about her accomplishments and why America is ready for a woman President.
Another example of why public schools are failing and giving them more money is not the answer. Her $225K speaking 30 minute fee could put 5 students through 4 years of education at the university.

I assume that, after such a speech, the folks who paid to attend get to have their photos taken with Hillary?

You know, a brush with fame?

Otherwise, why in the world would somebody pay good money to listen to some political hack talk about the many wonders of herself?

Yep, on top of the 225K in student tuition money Hillary is collecting for giving a campaign speech she's charging her minions thousands of dollars to bless them with a signed photograph of them with her so they can show friends how close to Hillary they are.

Most liberals who support Hillary's 225K fee don't earn that amount after a full years labor... but they fail to see the irony of their kids having to take out loans to hear her.

Obama, in his speech to the great unwashed in Minneapolis, outlined how easy he could make it for young people to get college loans that may take the rest of their lives to repay.
Of course, he also added his usual bitch about Congress and Republicans getting in his way.

Mixed feelings about this (not a fan of Hillary, what an understatement.) If someone is dumb enough to give me $10,000,000 for my house, damn sure I'm going to sell it to him. If someone is dumb enough to pay me $225,000 for a speech, I'll laugh all of the way to the bank.

So you're laughing that the public school is dumb enough to give Hillary 225K of our tax money and our kids tuitions for a speech?

Hillary is just another hard working American gal, trying to make ends meet. A lousy $225K per speech is
nothing compared to the $700K Bubba pulls down for a speech overseas.
Hanging out all day with celebrities and billionaires must really make her feel lower middle class.

Don't forget she had to dodge sniper fire on her way to the speech venue. Combat pay is worth every penny.

Ah Justme. Never miss a chance to post something (whether it makes sense or not.) What I'm implying is that Hillary (shudder, shudder) is not the culprit here but ALL of the dumbasses that will pay to hear her spout off. Hillary (shudder, shudder) is not the one that should be pilloried in this case but the educators are and they should be forced to make restitution. Remember, Hillarry was paid with public funds.

It's takes a lot of brass for Hillary to ask for 225K from a public school system to talk to students, the students need that money more than she does...shows the type of woman Hillary really is. It also shows are public schools spend like the money comes from you and me so there are no limits.

Fellow on TV was saying Bill Clinton is getting about 750k per speech.

Holy mackerel, can that be true?

Well, Bubba's Presidential pension is only $200K per year, plus $450K for office space. So i guess he had to take a part time job giving speeches.....poor guy.
