Sen. Reid, "We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it."

I wonder what he meant by "an American people can't away with it" since illegals aren't American people...maybe he wasn't talking about illegals? If that's the case apparently to Reid it just depends on who you are. If your coming into the country illegally the government will ignore your breaking the law. But if your just an ordinary American citizen living in the central part of the US you can expect the full weight of the government on you if you violate any law.

So what is Reid getting at when he said it today?
