I am an italian painter and I have to do a solo exhibition in June with subject details of body like feet, breast, face, hands.

I need models for some paintings. I need only photo reference.
I am a serious artist, contact me for more info!

Do you need them in person or maybe you could just use a few pictures and post the results on the boards.

If the latter is true, just needs pictures, he could get all he needs by just searching the internet for the body part he wants. My guess is he wants pix of nude women...just for reference! He can get those by searching too!

I want to use only pics.
I don't want to take pics from the web, I'd like to paint something done on purpose.

Thinker: Very true. Sounds a bit creepy if he wants to have one in front when he could prove to us all he needs is a picture he can paint and post.

There was someone that actually did what I am saying in the past. He was a wonderful artist. Did some of the famous gals and posted their pics under the boards. I assume if they wanted them, he would sell them to them.

I agree that it does sound weird. If you want to just paint pictures from photos, then you do. Then just post the photo and your painting to prove that you are serious.

Ok here is my input, I am also an artist in Massachusetts, USA. I have been painting and selling for forty years now. In this day and age an artist can find ANYTHING on-line to use for a piece of artwork. Yes I have seen women on the VW that would work nicely for a painting, I tend to request permission, I will admit I rarely get a reply from my request on the VW. It doesn't make me happy but I respect the women enough to ask. When I do have models come to the studio they are paid for their time. I take my art seriously and respect the people that do model for me, both male and female. Sounds to me like the so called artist is just another pervert. As I said, just my input.

I am not sure if the guy that did art work of the gals, asked them. However, he posted them I believe because he did it on his own. Sooner or later there will be someone that will say okay. Vienna might be a good one. She is very brave in showing her body. There are others if people have ideas of who. However, I can't imagine a woman saying no, if you are posting your body here for the world to see, why wouldn't they allow a picture to be done? That just doesn't make sense. In fact I would suggest pic your favorite gal, and just paint it and honor her by her pictures that are here. If you feel you must ask, then do so, but you will find someone eventually. Maybe not in person as most of us are USA people and there are some but you won't find many in Italy on VW.

Why don't you post something you have done? That would prove a lot of any one that is interested. Not that they are in your areas, but to give you permission.

Another idea is if you want people to see your site there is a way around it. Just write out the name, don't do the beginning or the ending. Just like it is a word. Because if you do the rest it will automatically stop you from posting.
