It angers Grog to think he worked so hard helping Barry with his homework at Columbia and yet no one remembers either one of them being there. It was Grog who tried to "Americanized" Barry........taught him to use the word "ain't". Of course, Grog failed miserably, crying uncontrollably when he saw Barry needed to use a teleprompter to speak to an elementary school class.

So naturally, when someone says Barry is poorly educated, Grog takes it as a personal attack. He knows ,Barry's failures are his failures too.
