I've been a regular viewer and occasional poster since about 1998...anyway anyone else think this is just an elaborate publicity stunt to join another sister site?

Looking forward to all the VW sites (RC, HC, MFF, etc) being back up soon.

That was my first thought when it happened, but that idea died with me a long time ago. If this is a publicity stunt, it's going to rank right up there with the launch of new Coke in the annals of disastrous marketing ideas. I've been watching the BB here and the one at VC...and even the posts over there are beginning to turn viscous towards Igor and VC. It looks like public opinion is landing on the side of VW...at least for now. And that's with this site not even operating...

Only thing I can say is why not admit you got hacked and peoples shit got stolen instead of making up some horse crap story about Igor stealing it. I sure hope our credit card info was not taken.........for VW 's sake.

MDP, you're not making any sense. They admitted that they were hacked. Go to www.voyeurweb.com and that's exactly what it says. The site was hacked by Igor. Inside jobs are the worst kinds.

They claim they were hacked by Igor, VC claims that Igor hacked VW, Igor claims he hacked VW.

Seriously, what part do you think they are making up? The credit card information is safe, as has been covered in multiple spots.

I certainly don't think this is a stunt.
I do think that both sides have been less than forthcoming about what is exactly going on.
Right now, I'm listening to both sides and trying to not passing judgement until I get more facts. Or more believable lies.
It is good to see here some level headed thinking.

I trust then what they say...for now. However if you go to VC and hear how they explain things over there; especially the subscription members and how your passwords will work and why...then it seems like a put on to me. Like the sites are actually linked.
Also, why would VW lawyers allow them to openly speak about what should surely be a criminal matter. Why would Igor and I'm sure his law team admit what they did?

Seems to overly dramitized to be real...

Because Igor put it there before he departed and changed the passwords so they couldn't change it quickly? Makes sense to me. Clever, but not exactly compatible with the new site's call for "healthy and fair competition."

Obviously the truth will be out in a few days...but can't deny its fun speculating....
I'm guessing in a few days we'll hear how everything is fine again and VC will be absorbed into VW and all their new customers will be VWs customer and everything convienatly falls into place...
