About the only positive is that this winter has been beautiful for testing camping gear. Just the other night, at minus 5, I was testing a new sleeping bag.

For all the folks who claim global warming is real, they may want to pause and wonder whether temps are not regressing to the mean.

Iowa is experiencing propane shortages and price gouging. Governor Terry Branstad has asked Obama for help. Now this would be a good time for Obama to use an executive order to suspend exports of propane and ease some of the regulations that are slowing propane deliveries. It will be interesting to see how quickly Obama acts this time to help Americans in trouble.
