The military has stripped the certification and security clearances of 34 officers at a Montana missile base after uncovering what it believes is the largest cheating scandal ever to hit the nuclear force, Air Force officials told NBC News Wednesday.

The officers, all assigned to the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom Air Force Base, are accused of apparently texting answers to each other on a monthly proficiency exam or knew that the cheating was going on and didn't report it, the officials said.

The monthly exam tested the officers' knowledge of the missile launch systems. It was administered in August and September 2013.

Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh said the officers shared the exam "electronically.” Text messages were involved, he said. He would not expand on the exact circumstances of the alleged cheating, citing an ongoing investigation.

The U.S. had better have superior technology because the military's capability to engage in any big, long war has essentially being lessened by the all-volunteer military and its Political Correctness.

Gays and females that can't pass their physicals have been fast tracked into high ranking positions they're not qualified for. Senior military Officers were fired because they didn't vote Democrat, 110 Generals and Admirals booted out by Obama since he became President. In their place Obama personally selected the most liberal people he could find to replace the. Promoting one black female from Major with 8 years in the Army directly to General. That may work in the Department of Vehicles but it won't work in the military, lives and battles will be lost.

I would like to read the reputable sources that tells us what and how many gays were fast tracked to positions in the military their not qualified for over their straight counterparts.
Making up stories in one thing, but making up the truth is quite another.....

Women can do many things better than men, but combat isn't one of them. Women can't compete equally in JV basketball, for heaven's sake, but now Defense has to pretend otherwise.
