Many questioned why Michelle made the sudden decision to remain in Hawaii rather than return to D.C. with her family, even more question why Alaskan Senator Mark Begich was the only Democrat not to show up and vote to invoke on the federal-unemployment-extension bill. Turns out Begich and Michelle were spotted several times together on Maui over the last few days.

Begich's excuse for being the only Democrat not showing up to vote on the Bill was that he "had" to be in Hawaii to give a speech to the American Association of Airport Executives. :? While in Hawaii to give his speech he took a few days vacation to visit Maui.

Maybe Michelle likes white meat?

Get this, Begich lied to Reid as to the reason he couldn't it to the all important vote but was busted when it was exposed he was in Maui instead of Alaska.

Instead of doing his job as a U.S. Senator, Mark Begich skipped out on votes earlier this week because he claims he was in Hawaii giving a speech at a conference. At first his staff said he couldn’t travel from Alaska because of the “polar vortex” but then they had to come clean when photos appeared of him in Maui.

Well the White House is preparing a special birthday celebration for Michelle's 50th including Beyoncé and Rihanna who promise to rock the ceilings on the 20th. White House staff have taken advantage of Michelle being in Hawaii decorating the White House and setting up arrangements to surprise her upon her return. After 24 days of vacation in Hawaii Michelle deserves a little party, after all we're two weeks in the year already.
