So, if none of this was Igor's, why does my billing show up like this? Were the owners just that aloof that they just let this dude roll with this level of power?

Both sites are down and I cant cancel either membership- Is the best bet just to cancel the card?

I have no idea about those sites or their connection to the VW sites. But the admin has made it clear that no credit card information was compromised during this as no information was ever in their possession. So cancelling the card would be a waste on your part.

Colonel Sanders doesn't own KFC but his pic is on all your chicken. Same thing here, Igormania is just a name and proves nothing in and of itself.

I'm just going to be watching my billing statements a little closer

colonel sanders started, and owned KFC for a long time- I don't see how a company regardless of how bad the management is would let an employees name be on the credit card charges without a serious level of ownership- It may not prove anything to you, but is sure as hell says something to me. Just seems awfully fishy and no one is really being all that clear. We all have privacy and credit information at risk. I have posted pics at RC before, albeit, not in a while, but I am sure there are some ladies that have a bit more hanging out there. Passwords and credit card information are what is important to me. I got billed on the 8th

I wouldn't find it odd if we were told that Igor founded and owned VW/RC at one time and then ownership was transferred at some point later. But the fact that Igor never owned VW/RC is extremly bizarre if you're essentially branding your product around an individual's namesake. It's not only Igor's interviews, Igor's cam section, Igor's names on the billing, Igor's Hall of Fame, Igor's profile in mainstream media, or Igor's comments on contris. Igor's presence on the boards and on the main page demonstrated a high level of knowledge of the operations of VW and it's direction. Nobody except Igor would respond to inquiries with such depth and insight into his vision of VW and upcoming features and reasons why things worked the way they did.

If Igor was just an employee, he was one with access to everything and seemingly had lots of input in the site's functioning.

Are there other examples of companies that place so much emphasis on a single employee, and where all the other employees and employers are essentially anonymous?

Wasnt Igor just a mascot for RC?

It has always been pretty widely stated that IGOR was nobody's actual name, it was a pseudonym used by the person known as Igor, and both this site and the VC site say Igor (whoever the real Igor is) wasn't the owner of Voyeurweb. Do you expect your credit card statement to say "Redclouds.com porn site"? I think Igormania was just a convenient name for the billing that sounded innocuous to anyone snooping at your bill but still was recognizable by you on the statement.

An astute observation Stacy66 and one with which I tend to agree. I have posted similarly on a different thread.

I would say that there is probably a fair amount of BS coming from the VW and VC organizations (assuming that they are actually different organizations...)

Igor was the stage name created by the owner of VW for Andraea ***** ***** ("*****").
Igormania was the name of the company that the owner of VW also created for the company which received membership dues.

Both Igor and Igormania belong to the owner of VW.

Legal action is in process to prohibit the use of stage name "igor" as well by the same person on a site that he claims to have created as competition to VW.

All of my billing statements, to all sites (VW, RC, HC, Archives) have always said it was owned by igormania. Every page of the website prominently displayed Igor's name (as has been pointed out in an earlier post), and from day one Igor has always publicly stated that he was the owner of the site. Granted, Igor is just a pseudonym, no one online goes by their real name (at least not the smart ones).

As such, it appears more likely that this VW site was hacked and or stolen from Igor, not the other way around. I'm open to any evidence to the contrary, but I will certainly be watching my credit card statements a lot closer for quite some time.

VW never had your credit card information, only the processing company did.

I'll agree Igor has always said it was his company and things have always supported that. But there is plenty of evidence to support that what VW is saying is true. Including all of the information at VC including what Igor himself has stated over there. Which is that he never owned the company and was always just an employee.
