What Do Republicans Need to Do to Be Elected in the Future

with changing demographics and a population that is more progressive than the average Republican?
Do Republicans need to give up on real conservative values and policies?
No, not at all. After all we have seen the popular implementation of the conservatives ideas on a free market capitalistic health care system. Republicans are right when they say that a large portion of Americans are conservative and resistant to change. Change is a genuinely scary thing that most people avoid. We hold on to our traditional values for a long tome even in the light of knowing better.
So what is the fundamental problem for Republicans seeking election?
That, as it happens, is really very simple.
Republicans need to embrace diversity, individual freedom and choice. Republicans need to stop being the autocratic billies that they set themselves up to be.
Republicans need to confront and deny the racist elements of their party.
Republicans need to confront and deny the bigoted elements of their party.
Republicans need to confront and deny the autocratic religious fundamentalist elements of their party. To support individual freedom and choice.
Republicans need to confront and deny the anti-American separatist militant elements of their party.
Republicans need to confront and deny the delusional, anti-objective reality elements of their party.
Then they can run on real conservative ideas about how a secular government runs a real rational economy and supports the real actual diversity of real Americans.
Sadly, Republicans have co-opted all the worst elements of our society in order to remain viable in a basically progressive country. It will be very difficult for them to change at this point as major portions of their base will need to be confronted and denied.
This is how they can survive and even thrive in the long term. If they want to survive and thrive.
Still, we know historically, political parties come and then they go. Replaced by more relevant parties in tune with the will and the needs of the people.
The Republican Party current strategy to rig the elections can be successful in the short term, but we all know that will either fail or lead to an effective dictatorship.
In the end, how the Republican Party chooses to move into the future is up to the Republicans.
I hope for an effective rational conservative political party.
