Leo,
I know it's over but its a huge interest, can we put it back up as a subheading under Special Interest? People will post in it all year I expect. And planning is a six month endeavor and the threads are a great resource.
What say you?

I don't know about a full subtopic, but I would love a single stickied thread under erotic events for each of the major events, Fantasy Fest, Mardi Gras, Folsom, ect.

Good call Rock!.... Thanks for restarting the thread.
I commented in a FF thread on RCBB about Fantasy Fest.
We have heard of it, but we never traveled there to go.
It looks like fun and we would love to learn more about it. We considered maybe attending next year if we can. Any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated.
Any hotels suggested? Where does the VW/RC people hang out?
Rock, maybe I can meet you next year. :-)... It would be fun meeting VW/RC friends.
We know nothing, so any helpful info is appreciated.
Thanks.

It would be my distinct Honor a nd pleasure to show you guys the FF experience Trin! We here in VW find FF a huge fun thing but in reality its a far larger thing. Be sure you can walk around and have your space just fine. VW/RC Meet and Greets go on there for sure. I hope Leo puts the threads back up intact and puts them under a Heading much like Dark described..... An even better idea.
I have no problem playing the First Officer role and acting as recreational director. I can't claim to know everything but I have some good ideas for sure. Booking a place is something to consider doing now btw....
The Key West Fantasy Fest event is a good week long with quite a bit of fun beginning even the weekend before for the hard core folks. They have a FF lite sorta event the weekend before, Sunday before and after are mellow days, then the Monday before is a fetish evening.... Tuesday Wednesday Thursday are themed party nights Fetish Dark Desires is Wed btw..... There is an official FF website with the themes and events calendar too. Ill post a link ASAP for you. Housing.... it helps to discuss with those who have gone. A condo for a week might be 2200 to 2700 right in the zone of Duval. Housing a few blocks away can be just fine if not better and less, but that's a very general statement. Some places a re private semi detached bungalows with clothing optional pools public areas.... etc....
Dark you have Email......
Besides I bet you could get Elise to tag along! More in a bit.....

I found the threads! They are mixed into Exhibitionists meeting points but hard to identify easily because not all topics SAY Fantasy Fest in the topic title. Look there Trin! Lets see if Leo hears us and sets up a separate heading or sub heading....

Sounds exciting Rock!! Would love to learn more about it.
If we were able to work it out with our work schedules I assume we could only do a long weekend cause of family and work. So are the dates always the same?...as you can see I have no idea. So yes whatever info anyone can share would be cool.
So what did you wear or not wear this year Rock? Haha!
Oh and Trinitron?.... Omg you are too funny. I just adore ya.
I will await your PM.
Kisses!
Trin

The dates are always the last full week in October with the parade the last Saturday.
FantasyFest officially begins according to the web site on the Friday of the week before, according to the police it begins at midnight between Sunday and Monday.
The party zone is from 0 Duval to about halfway down the island and 1 block on either side of Duval, this is the primary bar/club tourist zone. Some events do take place outside these areas (like the pool party at Dante's) but they are not considered to be in the party zone itself.
The streets remain mostly open through the week but as it gets closer to the weekend sections will be closed off until Friday when Duval becomes a street fair until the parade.

Such yummy delights to be made. I hope they show how to prepare a taco for delicious eating. They are my favorite you know!
And there is the whole subject of toppings: chocolate, butterscotch, and whipped (or is it spanked?) cream.

You are funny thinker!!! Love it.
Hey have you ever been to fantasy Fest?
Also was curious.... Does vw crew set up any other gatherings at any other events besides Ff?
Just curious so I know all my possible options of meeting vw/RC friends/crew.

There are quite a few recently, Dark knows way more about it than I do. Look on the RC Boards too, there is more info there.

Officially no. But that is subject to change as the owner would like to have more interaction between the site and it's members directly.
But there have been member sponsored parties for RC for years.
After NYE there is the KY party.
In March is the Atlanta party (hoping to make that one, we haven't been since 2010).
Normally there is a Halloween party in SC/NC but there was not this year.
Fantasy Fest normally has 2 small gatherings.
Plus various "meet and greets" that are mostly local events but do sometimes draw from a large crowd or include travelers.
The FL krewe typically has M&G's around the Tampa By area several times a year, sometimes there is 1 in Orlando or Lakeland. And we love to throw them together if we know people from out of the area will be in the area.
