No, sillydud, because taking an oath you don't believe in is meaningless.
And no one should be excluded from service to his country just because he isn't as stupid enough.

Clown....have I ever called you anything but Clown? You pride yourself in your political correctness. Yet you have no respect. Now I respect the Air Force Academy Cadet Honor Code and don't think the oath should be changed period. This academy has produced excellent officers who never had a problem with the Code. No one is has to attend this or any other of our military academies to be of service to this country. Some things should never be changed. Now this is my opinion.

"You pride yourself in your political correctness. "-sillydaddy
Where did you get such an idea?
Not only do I not "pride myself on my political correctness" but I have no use for political correctness at all.
"Yet you have no respect."-sillydaddy
I certainly do have respect where it is due.
I only call someone by another name when they are being stupid on purpose. (Either that, or you're willfully ignorant, another thing I have no respect for. But I showed you the respect of assuming you were trying to be funny, not ignorant.)
Above, you made a stupid comment to be disrespectful toward the President.
I showed you the same respect you exhibited, which is none.
Talk straight to me and I talk straight to you. Otherwise, I'm going to entertain myself.
"This academy has produced excellent officers who never had a problem with the Code."
And it has produced excellent officers who DID have a problem with the code.
So what?
The point of a code is to promise to behave in a particular way.
To promise to do so "So help me God" when you don't believe in God is to breach the code from day one with a lie.
But as I said, no one should be excluded from service just because he isn't stupid enough.
To force someone to believe in God in order to serve in the military is idiotic, especially in a country where it is forbidden to require a religious test to hold any political office. You want to require a religious test to join the Air Force Academy when it is forbidden to require it of the Commander in Chief.
"Some things should never be changed. Now this is my opinion."-sillydaddy
So you advocate removing the "under God" from the pledge of allegiance and restoring it to its original form?
Now that I respect.
You surprise me.

How pathetically sad and stupid these teagaggers are. They think that independent, intelligent moral thinking is "politically correct" just because they can't get beyond their immoral malevolence towards non-conformity to politically reactionary correctness.

I am weeping now for the lost brain cells of Clownhicker and Bilbo.
On the plus side, they do -- considered in combination -- have the IQ of a moth.
