The deficit has decreased below the inflation rate. If there has been and is a problem it is in severely reduced tax rates and other gifts to the wealthy. The macroeconomic data makes it extremely clear. This situation always occurs when the wealthy successfully take all the profits out of the system and turn them into dead capital.

The real economy is people working and living good lives. The GDP and GNP are simple proxies for what every unemployed person already knows, what every person who has not had a raise in 15 years already knows, the wealthy in positions of power have decided to rape the working class. This is the fully and easily predictable result. History repeats itself.
