On behalf of the entire VoyeurWeb Team: Farewell Kiki

Last week Kiki resigned from her position as Webmistress of the VoyeurWeb family.

Kiki came to the VW family at a time of great turmoil and acted as a stalwart rock and a kind smile during that difficult time. She served exemplarily as the Webmistress and community guide through the rebuilding and restructuring of the website. And she did a phenomenal job.

Her dedication to the community and the site were unmatched and she deserves thanks from every one of us for the effort that she put in, going far above and beyond her job description. She worked at making sure everyone in the community was taken care of and made sure that their complaints, questions, and comments made it to the right people on the rest of the team to get taken care of.

It was through her personal efforts that the forums, both the public one and the explicit one, were rebuilt. She made sure that the video chat was operational once again and became as lively as it has been in the past. These are the hallmarks that really bring our community together. These simple ways in which all of us, contributors and voyeurs alike, can communicate with each other are part of what set VoyeurWeb apart from the many imitations. These are where the heart of our community gather.

And it was this heart that Kiki made sure beat again. And as it beat the rest of the body was rebuilt, until our community is once again thriving. And Kiki was at the forefront of all of this.

While Kiki has decided to turn her attention to her own personal businesses and to spend more time with her loving husband Dice we wish her the very best in her endeavors. We know that she made many friends in her time with VoyeurWeb and we hope that she continues that friendship with everyone.

Perhaps she will return to our fine community soon as our friend, and possibly, dare we hope, as a contributor.

I like how they're telling you to spin this, but the facts are different. I'm not sure why someone that actively worked with Kiki (you are the moderator on the bb's right?) would side on behalf of those that fired her. You will tell me she wasn't, but it just seems like she resigned rather then letting them fire her. Your loyalty is always to Voyeurweb I guess? I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

The reason she left was because she disagreed with the way they were running the site. Hmmm? I wonder why. What are they doing that she disagreed with? Considering the professionalism she showed and the non-professionalism of everyone else on the staff, "administrator diego" lol I can only guess why. Also because of the above, they were actively looking for a replacement. She made us all trust Voyeurweb, sure, and once that was done they decided to kick her to the curb because she doesn't fit in or she was trying to fight for us?

Why are you submitting this instead of "admin1"

I'm submitting this because the owner asked me to.

Diego may be a good programmer, and he may be a nice guy, honestly I don't know since I have never met him, but one thing he is not is a personable presence. Which is WHY Kiki was hired in the first place, for her customer support and relations skills and experience.

Kiki's decision to leave was her own, and if you followed the thread on the RCBB you may have noticed that several people, all who have been in contact with her since, have expressed that she was not fired. I am still in contact with Kiki and still talk to her.

It probably took a lot of her and I can see being a newly wed, that her husband comes first. She was the far better than Igor ever was, and make everyone feel good. Whoops did I say that. She was a great assets to the new VW.

I really liked Kiki and her professionalism. She was a very lovely lady too. A photoshoot of her would have melted the servers with all of the views!

Thinker: Now that she doesn't work for VW maybe her and her and the new hubby will post some. Maybe not, but now that would make a lot of men happy here.

I doubt they will post on this site. It was not a happy separation, as some say, so why would she want to help them out?

Thinker: If you read all the posts about it, it was her choice according to what she said on RedCloud and some that have contacted her, although they cut her off from being on the boards here, which probably hurt her feelings as she didn't get to say good-bye to us. I can understand being a newly wed, that you won't want to spend all the time on the boards, but with her new hubby.

I think I have seen the posts being about 50-50 as to whether she just wanted to leave now or she felt she had to resign before she might have been fired. Either way, I wish her the very best.

OK, just to clear something up: Kiki does NOT have access to her email. Sending ANYTHING to Kiki at VW is a dead email.

Kiki turned in her resignation with a 2 week notice and management accepted it immediately. They then cut off her access so that she could not say her goodbyes.

That sure doesn't sound like an amicable parting of ways to me -- cutting off her access. With all that she has done for the site, they should have given her a royal sendoff, even if there were disagreements. Sounds like there was bad blood.

Somewhere, from a business POV I can't blame VW for cutting off her access. There is a lot of damage a leaving employee could do. Besides the type of damage Igor did an employee can just poison customers.

On a personal level and having dealt with Kiki I think it was a bad decision. Even if they would have replaced her that day I would have kept her on for at least a transition period and maybe limited her access to things, but definitely kept her on the PR and customer support long enough to hand off the email and send her off with the best of well wishes.
