SPOKANE, Wash. -
WWII veteran Delbert Belton survived being wounded in action during the Battle of Okinawa only to be beaten and left for dead by two teens at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane on Wednesday evening.

Belton, 89, died from the injuries he suffered in the beating Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Witnesses say Belton was in the parking lot of the Eagles Lodge at 6410 N. Lidgerwood, adjacent to the Eagles Ice-A-Rena, around 8 p.m. Wednesday when the two black males attacked him as he was about to head inside to play pool.


Belton died from his injuries Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

"Shorty," as he was known by his friends at the Eagles Lodge, served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and was shot in the leg during the Battle of Okinawa. He went on to work at Kaiser Aluminum at the company's Trentwood plant for more than 30 years. Belton's wife passed away several years ago.

He loved playing pool, even though he claimed he was no good at it and had been a member of the Eagles Lodge for the last four months. In addition to playing pool he loved working on cars.

Spokane police are looking for two male suspects in the attack. They said the suspects are African Americans between 16 and 19 years old. One suspect was described as heavy set and wearing all black clothing. The other was described as being about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. There was no description of what clothing the second suspect was wearing other than a silk do-rag.

Police investigating the deadly attack on Belton have also obtained surveillance footage from the scene.

MSNBC's only comment on this racist killing was it's another example of whey we need gun control. They failed to mention the two blacks didn't use a gun, the beat the 89 year old man with their fist and feet and when he stopped moving high fived each other. Had the 89 year old had a gun he might still be alive as Zimmerman is.

Horrible crime no matter who did it but you have to ask, did the old guy make a racial statement towards them that set them off? In no means would that justify what they did but it would answer the question as to what brought the attack on.

Edwards, the Oklahoma shooter, made tweets which were rather clearly racist.

So did Trayvon, but the judge ruled in FL it wasn't clear they were his tweets. Of course, it was overwhelmingly likely they were.

So, given the evidence of black racism in Oklahoma, media outlets will have to spin this as a gun control issue.

The media is still trying to spin the killing of the 89 year old in Spokane as a gun control issue, although no guns were even used. In the mean time Holder announced yesterday that his department continues the investigation in Zimmerman's past and his actions to determine if he violated Trayvon's civil rights, he actually said they're making "progress in accomplishing that".

But Holder will never investigate the racist tweets from Edwards, one of the Oklahoma killers.

Nor will Holder look into the reasons why 2 black kids beat to death the 88-year-old in Spokane.

Holder is to busy chasing clowns wearing Obama masks to bother will trivial matters such as these killings, he's going after real racism.

Bottom line, media outlets are rushing to say the Spokane murder and the Oklahoma murder were just "random" (i.e., not race-based).

Zimmerman was actually doing something for the black youth, he mentored troubled black teens while racists like Obama and Sharpton installed hatred and incited violence. If Trayvon would have had the opportunity to be mentored by Zimmerman he would be still alive and Zimmerman wouldn't have scars on his head.

It's hard to feel sorry for someone selling drugs to kids, the jury will consider that. Let's let the court system work and not try and convict these two kids without knowing all the facts.

I looked at the scenario, wondered why they didn't charge, looked at the race-baiting, looked at Angela Corey's background, noted with Dershowitz that Corey's affidavit contained no exculpatory evidence (the forensic proof of Zim's head injuries, exempli gratia), and so on. Then I looked at whether the prosecution could carry its burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, which it never had a prayer of doing and didn't do.

Obviously, the point is that media outlets seized on the Trayvon case in an attempt to portray him as an innocent lamb racially profiled and slaughtered.

That was wrong.

Meanwhile, cases far more egregious of blacks attacking whites for reasons far more arguably racist, those are ignored and dismissed as "random violence."

Why? Because such cases don't fit the victim narrative of the grievance industry.

If a person has the means to send their children to private school but forces them to go to a public school, I consider that child abuse. Racism is allowed in public schools and in many cases encouraged by the liberal loons allowed to get into the system as teachers and administrators. Black and Hispanic gangs of students operate with impunity.

In many schools (ever increasing) white and Asian students are subjected to racist acts on a daily basis, racism is very alive in our public schools.

Just in the news last week, a school in Fresno California continued to pay several teachers for years after they had left the school system. To make it worse they were all given very favorable annual evaluations and in some cases pay increases during the years they were no longer in the school system. No action was taken against those responsible for writing favorable annual evaluations on teachers who weren't even there, nor for not removing them from the payrolls after they left. Only a small local Fresno news station had the balls to expose the $3.8 million mistake.

Our public schools system is not only broke, it's corrupt and a breading ground for racism and violence.

I would love to see the enraged purple faces of the liberals on this board as they read my spot on observations of our public school system.

I love to watch the TV reality show, Hardcore Pawn. It's quite entertaining. They show a pawn shop owned by a white family in Detroit. Niggers constantly coming in with fake jewelry and broken out of date electronics looking for top dollar. Some coming in with fake paid up tickets demanding the return of high end jewelry they never pawned. One show had this young nigger wanting to sell what he said was a $5,ooo diamond bracelet. He said he knew it was worth $5,ooo because that's what he paid for it. You could tell the kid had never even seen $5,ooo much less buy a piece of jewelry for that amount. He said he'd take $3,ooo ! even though he said it was worth 5.The guy behind the counter told him the diamonds were fake. The kid starts to make a scene! demanding "give me my $3,ooo! What is funny to me was that he kept yelling, MY $3,ooo! MY $3,ooo. And that is a perfect example of the nigger attitude today.......still looking for those 40 acres and a mule.
