Standing before a large crowd. “Vice President Joe Biden,” Cruz began, pausing for a moment as the crowd broke out in laughter.
“You know the nice thing is that you don’t even need a punchline,” he added as the crowd roared with laughter.

Unfortunately, what it shows is the dearth of imagination and wit in the Republican Party.
Trouble is, all the good comedic writers are Democrats.
Imagine how dull and mindless the next election is going to be if this is Republicans' idea of an "awesome" joke.
If they were actually going to run against Biden they'd be in good shape, but even the Democrats aren't stupid enough to nominate him.

Biden, who got as many deferments as Cheney to avoid public service in Vietnam, now claims to have zeal for public service.
Sure, as long as Biden is safe and makes enough money to afford capped teeth and hair transplants.
