Speak the truth and thou shall be rewarded.
(CNSNews.com) - Limbaugh Celebrates 25th Anniversary at Pinnacle of Talk Radio -Rush Limbaugh today celebrated the 25th anniversary of his top-rated nationally syndicated radio talk show, which first aired on Aug. 1, 1988.
While discussing the anniversary, Limbaugh reflected on the challenges he’s faced over the years--including the pessimists who did not believe he could succeed in talk radio at all, let alone achieve the tremendous success that he has.
“I had a senior executive at ABC Radio tell me in 1972, ‘If you want to stay in this business, you had better go into sales, because you just don’t have the talent. You’re never going make it,’" said Limbaugh.
“But the point is, I never listened to the naysayers,” he said.
“Love and passion for what you do” is the key to overcoming those who seek to bring you down, said Limbaugh.
“It’s easy to be seduced by failure. It’s much easier than you think,” he said.
Limbaugh said it was inevitable to slip up a few times on the way up--and to expect people to go after you when you get to the top.
“It’s perfectly fine to have a couple slips off the ladder. It’s perfectly fine to have a failure here or there. It’s perfectly fine,” he said.
“And when you’re on your way up, nobody’s gunning for you.
“But when you get to where you’re going and if others perceive where you are to be the pinnacle, then whole focus changes and everybody’s after you,” Limbaugh said.
“That makes staying where you are harder than getting there ever was.”

"You just don’t have the talent. You’re never going make it,’" said Obama.

Gee. I can't tell the difference, can you?

So Obama is an idiot, what does that have to do with the Nation's favorite radio host?

Limpdick is the Pablo Escobar of the right wing.
The guy lived by the sword and has died by the sword. All of the infomercials on the Faux network will not resurrect him from irrelevance...

Limbaugh is the top radio host for crackers. Oral Roberts was the top TV preacher to idiots. Then it was Jim Bakker and then Jimmy Swaggert and now it's Bill O and Rushbo.
Preaching to your choir isn't much to write home about except in church, JustBaghdadBobFreedMe.
I don't know why you guys place so much faith in your preachers. I guess it's because you need to believe.

They are preaching to a demographic that's in terminal decline in the country.
The future consists of Gen Xers and millennials, who both reject conservative principles en masse. The GOP has to get with the program or they'll go away...........

The boomers (of which I am one) may be in terminal decline, but we still have many years in which the conservative ones can and will cause problems for everyone else in their fearful anger. They will still be mucking things up for at least another twenty years. Especially if the millennials are again stupid enough to front themselves with the disorganized and mindless OWS types.
If you want to fight the Tea Party pricks, you have to get organized instead of just believing and knowing and hoping.
OWS had good ideas and a righteous platform but was utterly mindless in how to achieve their desired ends.

And if you want to displace Rush Limbaugh as the number one listened to radio host in the Nation, you're going to have to change the values of the majority of Americas to become utterly mindless liberals...which ain't going to happen
Ya just keep on leaning forward and hoping, keep on keeping on.

Limpdick is a dinosaur, who will be extinct sooner or later. He admittedly knows that his demographics are older white males from rural areas. The types that you see at Teabagger rallies. And that demographic is in terminal decline.
Obviously the vast majority of women don't like him.
Millennials and GenXers don't share his views.
So I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull a Glenn Beck...

Over time the boomer influence will gradually decline. The future of the United States is that of a more progressive plurality. I agree that the teabaggers will temporarily gum up the system. But that won't last because people will eventually realize that shit needs to get done and either the baggers will be constructive or they'll be out the door...
