Mansion spending records indicate improper billing by Virginia governor and his family. RICHMOND — Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell (R) and his wife, Maureen, have used taxpayer money for a range of personal items they should have paid for themselves under state policy, according to spending records.

The McDonnells have billed the state for body wash, sunscreen, dog vitamins and a digestive system “detox cleanse,” the records show. They also used a state employee to run personal errands for their adult children. In the middle of a workday, a staffer retrieved Rachel McDonnell’s newly hemmed pants at a tailoring shop nine miles from the governor’s mansion.

About six months into the governor’s term, the official who oversees mansion spending told the McDonnells that they should not have charged taxpayers for a number of expenses, including deodorant, shoe repairs and dry-cleaning. The official asked the McDonnells to pay the state back more than $300.

Many have called for a recall election and charges brought for misuse of public funds.
This asshole should be removed from office and charged with fraud for stealing from the tax payers. McDonnell and his wife defrauded over $300.00 (that we know of), they're not King and Queen, they're public servants.

The Gov. should be removed from office and face criminal charges because he and his family have wasted $300.00 of tax payers' money in six months???
Michelle her daughters and the rest of her entourage are currently in Berlin but Air Force Two has been send over to pick them up, she wants to visit Dublin while in Europe. She has booked 30 rooms at the Dublin Hotel Suite, her room alone is $3,300.00 a night, of course both of her daughters will have their own private suites along with 27 other people traveling with Michelle. The White House is billing Michelle’s trip to Dublin as having diplomatic significance, but her itinerary suggests otherwise. She and her daughters will visit the Trinity College library to explore President Obama’s Irish family roots, attend a performance by the world-famous Riverdance troupe, and visit the Wicklow Mountains national forest. 3 special military aircraft have landed in Dublin with limos and Security to escort Michelle's entourage around Dublin. Michelle explained it was important for her daughters to experience different cultures so she felt comfortable bringing them and some of their friends for the exchange. When asked what the costs would be the White House Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser said the benefits of the trip would far out weigh any costs. When pressed for a cost estimate Rhodes said the White House doesn't determine security costs for presidential trips. "We don't determine the cost of the president and his families' security, just as President Bush didn't and President Clinton didn't," he said
Spending several millions on a boon doggle is acceptable by Liberals when it comes to Democrats and their families, but wasting $300.00 in six months deserves jail time and removal for office if it's a Republican.

Agree and we should remove all other politicians who have abused our tax money starting with Obama.
