ASHINGTON — Senator John McCain’s office is pushing back against reports that while visiting Syria this week he posed in a photo with rebels who kidnapped 11 Lebanese Shi’ite pilgrims.

The photo, released by McCain’s office, shows McCain with a group of rebels. Among them are two men identified in the Lebanese press as Mohamed Nour and Abu Ibrahim, two of the kidnappers of the group from Lebanon.

Unlike liberals, conservatives hold our politicians accountable.

McCain is becoming the GOP's Biden (almost).

McCain wishes. But have no fear: Republicans are too nasty and shitty to have a good-natured guy like Biden in your ranks.

Instead you have Ted "Joe McCarthy" Cruz who has probably replaced Young Marco as your screensaver (just kidding. I know of your deep feelings for Young Marco). Wonder if you guys will let Cruz run for POTUS since he's not a Real 'Merican by virtue (or lack of virtue) of being born in Canada to a Cuban father that we don't for certain wasn't a sleeper sent by Castro.

It's interesting to see them attack their own whenever their own doesn't pull the hard line radical reactionary anti-American bully bit. These false conservatives who talk about strict Constitutional adherence only as long as it moves towards their goal of exclusive radical reactionary autocracy.

Why do you call it attacking? I'm not attacking McCain, he would be much better than anyone the Democrats have in politics, it's just that the GOP has those who would better represent us than McCain. McCain should be proud of his accomplishments but it's time for him to retire, he's burned out and now days wants to go along to just get along.

You see that's the difference between conservatives and liberals. If we have someone that stops performing we replace them. Where liberals continue to give full support to losers like Pelosi, Reid, Biden and Obama, conservatives would have never put Obama in office and the others would have been tossed out of office 20 years ago.

McCain, or Romney, or the fellow who picks up your garbage would do a much better job than Obama.

Obama has already racked up more debt than all prior presidents combined.

As a bonus, Obama is relentlessly dishonest and now enmeshed in 3 major scandals even the lapdog media can no longer hide.

With the current crop of neocon clowns and nutjobs, democrats thankfully will be in charge of the Whitehouse for a while.

Whitout naming names...who do we have on the top of the ticket?

One guy was busted with valium in his underwear. So was his peewee feeling a little blue?

Another said that SS and Medicare was unconstitutional. There go your guvmit benefits...

Another claimed that Soros was going to force people into Hobbit sized homes....nuff said.

States have a right under the constitution to disregard federal law...But they will still take the federal guvmint benefits when it comes their way

Very superficial to think of it as "attacking their own."

That assumes a party is monolithic and people can't think for themselves, neither of which is true.

McCain is correct in some areas and wrong in others. McCain was wrong in 2007 with amnesty and he is wrong today with the Graham/Rubio amnesty.

The GOP ISN'T monolithic in their hatred of Obama and determination to make him "a one term president" their chief goal?

I know you're still sore that Boner ended your cherished Page program, Forbes, but don't tell Mitch and "Chairman" Issa they aren't monolithic and united in their hatred of Obama, a hatred that clearly transcends mere politics.

Grog proves my point, Herr Obama uber alles. Liberals don't believe in accountability if it's their furher. It's way past time for everyone to move past their party lines and look at what's best for America.

Nobody hates Obama. Indeed, he has out-Teflon-ized Reagan.

But, just as Democrats were united in their determination to demonize Bush Jr., Republicans are presumably united in their aim to do better in 2014 and beyond.

If you think most conservatives don't have a pathological hatred for Obama, then you haven't been paying attention for the last five or so years.

Hatred? That's a liberal trait. I dislike Obama and feel he should be behind bars but I don't hate him. Hatred is a sickness that accomplishes nothing but unethical and criminal acts such as those by the IRS leadership.

Dianne Feinstine is 3 years older than McCain - why not call for her to retire?
Carl Levin is 2 years older than McCain - why not call for him to retire?
Barbara Mikulski is a little older than McCain - why not call for her to retire?

Try to post on topic, Leroy.
In the OP, RealJustme didn't say anything about McCain's age being the reason he should go.

Try reading for comprehension, clown.

I said that although McCain should be proud of his accomplishments, it's time for him to retire, he's burned out and now days wants to go along to just get along. McCain is like that public employee 1 year out from retirement, he shows show up for work but he's not there.

Obama's personal popularity is about all that keeps him going. Obama's tenure has been horrible, for example, in terms of minority unemployment. Or kids generally.

It is a big mistake to assume people opposing an agenda oppose the person.

It isn't surprising that Bilbo would make such a mistake given his faux credentials. But Grog should know better.

Ah, Asslicker, the topic is RETIRE and FRESH BLOOD - that is a direct comment on AGE.

Bilbo has said he has PhD and MBA degrees.

Obviously, he can't spell "cat" unless somebody spots him a few letters.
