Obama is destroying our military. His push to push minorities, gays and muslims into positions they weren't ready or qualified for has resulted in untold numbers of deaths and a 35% increase in sexual assaults in the military in just the last 2 years. Obama's attempt to turn our military in little Chicago is destroying it. Imagine the media's outrage if this was happening under Palin.

The Pentagon estimates that there were 26,000 instances of sexual abuse in the military last year, an increase of 35% compared with 2010.

A series of military sex scandals in recent weeks has underscored the problem: an Air Force officer in charge of sex abuse prevention programs awaits trial for his alleged drunken groping of a woman in Arlington, Va., not far from his Pentagon office; an Army sergeant first class is being investigated for running an alleged prostitution operation at Fort Hood; and an Army non-commissioned officer has been charged for allegedly videotaping nude cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. these are three examples of the 26,000 instances in 2012.

Obama's fault.

Obama would love to have this Chicago thug as an Officer in the military. This 33 year old thug had 38 prior arrests but Chicago chose to keep his ass on the streets rather than letting him serve his time. Policies like this is exactly why good citizens in Chicago should have guns, illegal or not. If Obama had a son.

Putting aside the partisan idiocy.People in the military do that shit because they know they can get away with it. From my experience in the Army, the UCMJ is a complete clusterfuck. You can't have military commanders handing disciplinary issues, especially ones of a criminal nature. I've seen them give people fucking KP duty for assault?

You pull that shit off in the civilian world. Jail time and a civil lawsuit. I suspect there is an increase in sexual assaults because more troops are reporting them.

Not completely true - in the late 80's we still had people assigned TAD to the galley on base, as did many bases. Maybe the Air Force gets catered meals, but the Navy and Marines didn't.

Military has been a lab for social experimentation for a long time.

Remember Zumwalt and sideburns and beer in the barracks?

Today, they portray the military as a lean machine, yet chaplains and doctors and psychologists and such are all officers when such jobs are intrinsically civilian in nature.

Anybody who has ever served at the Pentagon is aware that half of the people there are doing nothing productive.

An air force officer was found guilty of rape by a military jury.

Then a commanding officer overturned the guilty verdict while ignoring the evidence in the case. Now how many rapists in the civilian sector had their guilty verdicts overturned on a whim......anywhere????????????????

The UCMJ is really fucked up, and it's a shame. The military is essentially the good ole boys club. Regardless of qualifications, if they like you then certain things get overlooked, if they don't your screwed.

I served in the national guard to get money for college, then got out right away. I was petrified with the prospect of going to combat with some of those people................
