The point is that humans were not burning fossil fuels for the previous 999,900 years.

Do you really think there is no correlation between the combustion of fossil fuels and the increase in planet temperature and CO2?

You do remember from chemistry class that the combustion of hydrocarbons creates water and CO2. And that CO2 absorbs infrared radiation from the sun in the earth's atmosphere, increasing surface temperature.

If this is not true then why is the surface temperature increasing? I'll be glad to entertain scientifically plausible explanations with the backing of empirical data...
