Mud Runs Should Be Nude

Just finished my second mud run yesterday. I could take off everything at the "showers" to rinse off except the shorts. They had to stay on. This meant I had to reach under to try to clean off the mud. The problem was that the shorts had a lot of mud on/in them. Could not rinse my legs off because, you guessed it, the shorts had mud on/in them and would drip more mud on the legs. I tried to rinse off the shorts while wearing them, but that took a lot of time. It was necessary none-the-less.

I was thinking it would be nice if I could have stripped off the shorts too to just be able to rinse off my body quickly. When I got home, I had to finish rinsing off my shorts. It took a while. Then I got the brilliant idea of having a nude mud run. The mud would quickly cover everything if you were modest. But better yet, clean up after the run would be quick. You would still throw away your shoes and socks, but that would be all.

BTW, the course would have to be modified slightly. No barbed wire! Just wire would suffice.

This sounds like a seriously fun idea, although I might think some of the ladies would want a sports bra if they are top heavy doing all that running ;). All in all, genius to me. I think you should start one, just make sure to let us know where it is :D

Personally too messy for me, I wouldn't play in much, rain yes, but mud no thanks.

Let us know how it goes....Depending on where you live, you might be the one to start the event. Look at CA and their naked days, and other places. Good luck. Keep us updated.

Kiki, I would not have one in NY until the late summer when it was warmer. Here in NC, it can be a hit-or-miss proposition. Last year it was nice temps, just rainy. This year it was sunny but cool with a stiff wind. People were shivering after going through the water obstacles.

DDi, Already did it this year. It was so much fun. Unless you are in the infantry, the obstacles will get you. Slogging through our "mud" (it really is clay, not dirt) is very tiring. I could barely keep my eyes open on the hour long drive home. I work out a lot but don't exercise all of the muscles the course requires so it took its toll.
