The State can identify a "State Religion" as long as it doesn't force others/anyone to practice it or restrict others from practicing other religions.

The founding fathers, since you don't have a clue about them, would not object to the exact nature of this proposal.

You don't understand the "Separation of church and state" as it was written and intended - you, like most fools, think it means that the "State" can't have a position on Religion and that they can't have religious items in their offices, buildings, parades, etc... and you're wrong.

So how do they define an official religion?

I have never heard of any government restriction on personal religious items in government offices or anywhere else. Only restrictions on official government statements in support of any one religion.
