Hypocrisy of religious beliefs claimed by some people

So, Senator Rob Portman has come out and said that he now supports Gay Marriage, after being strongly opposed to it for Religious reasons all these years. So, what changed? Well, his son has just told him and the world that he's Gay.
So, while there is nothing wrong with being gay, there is something wrong with a person that sells out their convictions in a matter of self over something. In this case, Portman is selling out his religious beliefs over family - showing that either he never really believed in the religious teachings, or that he's willing to sell down his strongest and deepest beliefs for something that contradicts those convictions and beliefs when it's "Convenient".
What Portman should have done was said, while I still don't support gay "Marriage", I have decided to work towards a tolerant and understanding solution by removing the word "Marriage" from all legal writings and regulations and replacing it with the word "Union" - this will allow both gays and non-gays to have the same rights and benefits under our legal/regulatory system and will not impose any changes to any religious beliefs held by any persons.
Instead, Rob Portman sold out, sold his beliefs, sold his honor, and dishonored the religion he claimed to follow.
For those of you that are idiots and unable to comprehend basic things - my position is not anti-gay, in fact this position shows far more tolerance and acceptance that the gays show on this issue.

I agree he is without honor. A gutless hypocrite.
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. -- Lev.20:13
Leviticus
Homosexual acts are an abomination to God. 18:22
If a man has sex with another man, kill them both. 20:13
Pussy ass Christians should harden the fuck up like the Muzzies.

Ah, but you don't seem to understand, Christians are "Tolerant" where Muslims are Intolerant, as are most liberals.

That or he had an epiphany and realized how closed minded and bigoted his religious ideals were.

You can tolerate others mistakes, sin, etc... without having to compromise your own religious beliefs.
It's like that old saying - it doesn't matter until it happens to you. The fact is that his religious convictions (as well as the Majority that elected him) were such that he was against Gay Marriage, yet, when it hits home, he sells out the voters and his own religious convictions for the his son's beliefs.
Not supporting Gay "Marriage" is no more bigoted or closed minded than gays demanding that others change their beliefs for their demands.
Gays should be seeking a change that allows what they want without changing what others already have - they could simply replace the word "Marriage" with "Union" in all legal/regulation documents and then have the same rights as non-gays, but they won't do that because their true intent is not equality, it's the liberal goals of destroying anything that doesn't include them or that they disagree with.

If Xtians were as true to their conservative religious principals as Muslims, they would be just as intolerant or even more intolerant as the Muzzies.
That's what strict traditional religious conservatism is. Christian and Islamic.
God hates fags!

If you had studied most religions, Christianity included, you would see that the religion doesn't ask followers to KILL anyone like Islam does.

Yesterday. Today.
There are many current crusades. Liar leroy proves that with most posts. The simple fact that he tries to incite others to do his dirty work just makes him a coward. He is still a racist crusader.

The ONLY difference between the radical reactionary Muslim terrorists in the middle east and the radical reactionary Christian terrorists in the west is the secular rule of law provided by our governments.
liar leroy et al prove that with most of their posts, cowards inciting bigotry and violence against people they don't like.

Care you show us where there are active "Christian" crusades happening in the world, where the Christians are opening stating Convert or be killed?
Yea, didn't think so, you can't, you're just lying again.

Bark again little dog - you've got nothing, as is typical.
Come on, show where Christians are killing people for not converting - come on, or just be exposed, again, as a liar.

To get the thread back on track, so, we have another Republican that has sold-out his honor and respect for "SELF" showing that he's just another Democrat in actions.

You, liar leroy. You.
You are just too much of a coward to do anything more than incite violence in others, but you are a core source of such bigotry, hatred, and violence.

Dildo, the only hate on this board comes from you and freedman, and yours is a deep and vile hate like most have never seen.
I, unlike you, support Equality in laws for all people, but I don't (unlike you) support laws that divide or make any group special over another groups - that would be unjust.
I have no bigotry, certainly no hatred to speak of, and certainly never support violence against anyone.
I asked you to show proof of Christians killing people in the name of spreading their religion, as in the days of the crusades, since you claim it's happening, but you've only been able to misdirect and run away, unable to show any proof of your claim.
I can, positively, show proof of Islam running a crusade against non-Islamic followers, killing around the globe, on a daily basis: Here is just one website that tracks their killing:
http://thereligionofpeace.com/
Now we have the issue of the Hypocrisy of this politician - he claimed to follow a religion, one that does not "ACCEPT" gays, but is willing to tolerate gays - that being they thing you and others can't seem to grasp. A person can tolerate something they don't accept - that makes them a Conservative, on the counter side, a Liberal can not accept something they can not tolerate and they can not tolerate anything they don't accept. A liberal will crucify you as being "Intolerant" because you won't "Accept" something, but fails to understand that they are even worse than what they claim you are. Conservatives as well as most enlightened religious followers, while they may not "Accept" or "Approve" or "Desire" or "Support", something, they will "Tolerate" it for the sake of community.
That's the problem with this politician - he now supports something that is completely counter to his core beliefs, because he sold out himself over his son's choice. A person like that should never be trusted to make decisions for others - if you can't stick with your core beliefs, your honest beliefs, or you're going to lie about them, then you should not be trusted, even less under pressure.

Their own book says fags should be killed. If Christians would follow the strict conservative religious doctrines, like the Muzzies, they wouldn't have to worry about being disrespected all the time.
Tolerance... LMAO
Pussy ass Christians.

Sorry liar leroy. It's an old story, racists like you claiming that people who point out your racism and hatred are the haters. It just doesn't hold water or work for that matter. Both you and I know the truth of it. Your denial changes nothing. Your prostestations do nothing.
BTW: CPAC just held a session of "Why Do We Keep Getting Called Racists?" Guess what, the need for that session proves the point about so many of your kind.

And yet, when asked for proof or clear examples that I'm a racist, you can never show any.

Virtually a 100% incidence of lies from liar leroy.
100% denial from liar leroy.
Absolutely no reason to repeat another 1000 times.

And there you go again, unable to prove your point, so you just continue to lie about it.
If you were honest you would be able to quote me, since you claim it's constantly happening, and show hundreds of cases of it - but, you keep running away, like a typical liar, unable to prove your claim - you know you're lying and the board sees it.
