Not at all. By refusing to negotiate the sequester the Republican House will destroy jobs, jobs, jobs, as has been their target all along. 734,000 civil contractors to the DOD will be furloughed immediately.
Meanwhile the deficit is actually down to 6% of GDP from the Bush induced high of 10% in 2009.
Republican Leadership Jobs, Jobs, Jobs priority is starting to look true, that is as job destroyers.

Um, you seem to be missing that Obama created the Sequester and that HE's refused to negotiate unless he can get massive increases in taxes on the working class.
So far, Obama is the worst president in our history and there is no sign he's going to get any better.

You do realize we're only talking about 2% of the budget don't you? If Obama were just to restrict Government travel to only that which is truly needed (including his wife's Aspen trips)for a month or two problem solved...why would you have to furlough 734,000 workers?
But being the poor manager Obama is, I can actually see him keeping his luxury family vacations and travel by his friends and staff while taking the food off the plate of the little people as a means of making up the 2% cut. The sad part is Obama could fire them and announce that having to do made him sad so he's taking his family and friends on a 2 week vacation to Paris and the Obamabots would applaud. Obama's actions speak much louder than his words but Obamabots are deaf and dumb.

734,000 people on furlough? For how long and how much do these people get paid?
40 billion is how much needs to be cut from future spending as part of the sequester.

Obama created this situation so he can do damages to the military and release illegals then blame it on someone else. Other wise he wouldn't be talking about damaging the military and releasing criminal illegals, he would be talking about cutting back on duplicate operations, fighting fraud, watching Government spending and being a good steward of America's money to come up with the 2% reduction.

Let's talk about Jobs under Obama's Administration:
Under Bill Clinton, the average unemployment rate was 5.2 percent. Under George W. Bush, the average unemployment rate was 5.3 percent. Under Barack Obama, things have been much worse. The month after he took office the unemployment rate rose above 8 percent and it has stayed there ever since.
Under Barack Obama, the United States has lost more than 300,000 education jobs
Since Barack Obama became president, the number of long-term unemployed Americans has risen from 2.7 million to 5.2 million.
For the first time in the post-World War II era, the employment-population ratio has not bounced back after a recession. The percentage of working age Americans with a job has been below 59 percent for 35 months in a row.
Since 2008, our economy has lost 1.3 million jobs while at the same time 3.6 million more Americans have been added to Social Security’s disability insurance program.
Those that voted for Obama are the reason for these failures.

Actually, the cuts are specified as $1.2T over 8-10 years less any cuts passed by Congress.
Pell grants have been preserved but all other financial aid to graduate students and professional students have been cut as well as any financial incentives for repayment. Fewer doctors and scientists. Ever less incentive to become a doctor or scientist.
Social Security payments have been protected but the SS admin will be cut, cuts usually start with the people who make the future more efficient in order to preserve the ability to process paperwork. So costs of admin will rise and delays will increase.
So the term of the sequestration cuts is 10 years. That's how long inaction will affect us. How long jobs will be destroyed. How long improvements will be delayed. How long costs will increase. How long the economy will be suppressed.
Economic estimates say that the GDP growth will be cut 1.5%, or half, and the deficit will increase due to sequestration. All while more people are jobless and pay goes down.

Imagine a company being in such a dire situation as Obama describes the United States is because of lack of money. The CEO makes that announcement weeks after returning from a 17 day Hawaiin vacation costing the company over 12 million, days later the CEO then flies off to Palm Beach at a cost of over 2 million to the company at the same time his wife and kids fly off to Aspen at a cost of over a million to the company, while in Aspen his 14 year old daughter wants to attened a birth day party for a friend in D.C. so the CEO charters a private jet with full staff to fly her back tothe birth day party and returns the dauther hours later back to Aspen...imagine as the CEO and his family winds down from their back to back vacations costing the company over 13 million he announces workers are going to suffer because the company doesn't have the money to pay, they should prepare for sacrificies, drastic cuts must be made.
You can't imagine that because in the private sector the CEO would be fired then ran out of town. Obama needs to be fired then ran out of D.C.

Hmmm, vacation. You mean the one House Republicans called despite overwhelming opposition by all Democrats? Oh, yeah, that vacation.

Obama really does only represent the 1%, and his actions and those of his wife, clearly show that they have no clue about the working class - they've never been part of the working class and don't have close ties to anyone that has ever been part of it.
