I was hoping to glean how the profiles that had been created in Wiki prior to the recent changes were handled.

Were the profiles deleted from cyberspace all together or "locked" until a user requested re-access?

If photos had been uploaded to a prior profile are they still retreive-able or were they too deleted or "locked"?

Any information that might be available would be most helpful.

Additionally, if it has already been addressed and I simply haven't found the thread that does so, please point me in the right direction.

I was looking through my old saved bookmarks and found that it was called the Playground.

Perhaps that helps clarify about what site I'm trying to glean information.

Any information would be helpful if even just a response of "Yeah, all the old WikiPlayground stuff is gone; you need to start over."

Shar, the link to the Wiki you posted is the same as it was before the crash. Igor also copied the whole thing and took it to the other site. When the site came back up we all had to re-register and create all new profiles.

Hi Shar! I am glad to see you peeking in! I believe the old playground is still in existance but isnt on line, I remember a convo about that a long while back. If memory serves, the playground is to be restored or reconstituted at some future point. Keep asking and i suggest emailing Kiki directly with a copy of your questions. It is also useful to keep posting querries, she does read them!

When I click on your first link JBE I get a page that looks like a "coming soon" sort of thing on which there is nothing to click to get to a register screen or log in screen.

I will re-register at the wiki site and when I have more time re-create/re-load the content I had posted there. I have all the photos I was more just wondering if prior content was going to be re-accessible or all have to be re-loaded from scratch.

Based on the other thread that Kiki linked it would seem that a complete re-do is what is in the works so I'll just plan for that. Just to ensure I understand the Playground and Wiki site are two different places, right? I think I was under the impression they were one and the same but it now seems I was mistaken and I think it was the Wiki site on which I had content loaded. I suppose that means I'm going to have to check both out once the playground is up...I'll be keeping an eye on Kiki's thread.

I'll try and get by the "Town Hall" thread in the near future, as well...I've yet to find a shell big enough or strong enough as they all seem to be made of food grade plastic.
