NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A Nanuet man is accused of making death threats on Facebook against the governor of New York, the mayor of New York City and several members of Congress, Clarkstown Police said.

Two rifles, bayonets, ammunition, a sword, knife and body armor were recovered at Lawrence Mulqueen’s home, police said.

Mulqueen, 49, was arraigned Thursday on charges of making terroristic threats, illegally possessing weapons and harassment.

Police were called Wednesday afternoon by Mulqueen’s landlady, who said he’d been harassing her. She tipped them to Mulqueen’s alleged threats, made on a Facebook page under a pseudonym, police said.

Mulqueen wrote he wanted to kill Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Charles Schumer, Rep. Nita Lowey, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Harry Reid and members of the Congressional Black Caucus, according to police.

“I think what may have particularly have gotten his ire in the past month or two were the various legislations enacted with respect to the rights to possess a firearm. I think that was particularly upsetting to him,” Clarkstown Police Sgt. Glenn Cummings told 1010 WINS. “One posting which was posted about a month ago said that if anybody ever came to take the arms, they would suffer the consequences.”

The FBI helped with the investigation, police said.

Mulqueen’s being held until a court date Monday.

When a Democrat congressman came into congress with an AK-47, a known violent congressman, he was praised by the left/liberals, but, under existing and proposed gun laws, he would not legally be permitted to posses any guns...

This is a very rare instance of a 'conservative' doing such a thing.

Brandon, consider this - he appears to have "possibly" been an X-Con, and he was associated with what DHS calls a Domestic Terror Group, and, according to the police, he had these weapons (take special note that he had NO 50 cal weapon, but he had 27 rounds of TANK BUSTER 50 cal ammo)

Police said they found these weapons in Mulqueen's home:

1 10.62 x 54 bolt-action rifle
1 Remington .35-caliber pump-action rifle loaded with 6 rounds
1 bulletproof body armor
Approximately 100 rounds of ammunition, including 27 rounds of .50-caliber armor piercing bullets (tank buster)
2 rifle bayonets
1 rifle scope
1 sword
1 metal knuckle knife

50 Cal AP is NOT TANK BUSTER, he'll, it won't even penetrate one of our M1's.

So, he had a BOLT ACTION rifle and a Remington 35 Pump Action rifle (hardly an Assault weapon)

Also, he had 100, not 1000, not 10,000, not a million, but 100 rounds of ammo.

No hand-guns, no shotgun, no assault guns, and we don't know what the "bulletproof" body armor really was....

From the sound of this guy, and the little history I can find, he was not a Conservative, he was a loaner, disturbed, and believed in smaller government, which could be Independent or Libertarian also.

A proud Tea Partier. Most likely Leroy's brother-in-law who lives upstairs.

I've recently learned that regardless of their political motivations and ideology these individuals or groups are always 'liberals'.

Hardly, they have to be claiming to be Peaceful, Tolerant, Inclusive of all ideals and values, and then show that they are violent, intolerant of any other views than their own, that's what makes them considered to be Liberals.
