Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced Thursday that the Pentagon would lift the ban and allow women to serve in combat roles. The move was applauded by the White House, by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and by equal-rights advocacy groups.



Wooopeedooo. Now the big question: Does this mean they also have to register for the draft like men do? If not, why not?

So, Obama applauds equality in the right to die in combat, but he still discriminates against women working in his administration. He's about as bad a president as any country has ever had in all the worlds history.

Not only did Obama reduce the numer of women on the White House Staff in high positions, many have noticed Obama doesn't trust his life with female Secret Service protection. While Bush often had several female Agents around him, you won't see any on Obama's security details, all large men. He also did away with two of Bush's female Air Force One pilots and replaced them with men (white men).

Would you want female pilots flying your family around in dangerous parts of the world? Obama has the right to have say over who flys his family around, he deserves the best the Air Forces has to offer.

Yes, I would, as I have no issues with the gender of the person providing the service - and that's what makes Conservatives better people than the hypocritical liberals that claim to be tolerant and accepting.

There is a reason there are so few commercial female pilots, they just aren't cut out to fly planes as well as men. They think different and handle stess different, that's a fact. Plus women has their time of month where their hormones goes crazy which isn't a good thing when it comes to flying a huge airplane. Facts support Obama's choice to replace the female pilots with men. Women are better suited to jobs like administration or other low stress ones. They proven they also make good politicians.

Some of the best acrobatic (high stress) pilots I know personally are women - and most women do better under stress than Men from what I've seen and read. It's also been shown that women "deal with stress" better than men do.

If you look, it's obvious that Obama doesn't support women as equals, we've seen it in what we know about his life and how he surrounds himself.

So you are saying women are inferior to men but should be considered equal?

Or are you saying that we should not allow female pilots in commercial service? After all, if females can't be trusted to fly the President's family around because they might crash the plane while on their period I really don't want them flying me around, or flying overhead for that matter.

Actually, it shows my point exactly - she's failed to protect American - she supports illegal immigration, supports terrorism in the USA, keeps our Border Patrol from protecting itself, etc... She's an affirmative action appointee - he wanted to take the heat off himself, so he appointed her to the head of DHS knowing that she would have little impact (negative) on DHS because it already had structure and leadership. In reality she's weakened DHS.

So, again, Obama has proven he doesn't trust women, doesn't see them as valued, because he shows that he won't appoint them to his cabinet in a serious role, doesn't trust them with HIS security, and he prove it more so by not paying an equal wage to women in his administration.
