UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. General Assembly has unanimously approved a resolution calling for a global ban on female circumcision, a centuries-old practice stemming from the belief that circumcising girls controls women's sexuality and enhances fertility. The U.N. said in 2010 that about 70 million girls and women had undergone the procedure. The World Health Organization said about 6,000 girls were circumcised every day.
Holley cow, Obama should be all over this one, remember his statement last month "a woman's body is her own property, and is therefore, rightfully subject to her exclusive control". Rice voted against Obama and went with the rest of the UN to deny all those women that right to decide. So will Obama fire Rice or will the media and Obama ignore it?

You really are a tool when you're playing political football with girls and women who are generally forced into this terrible practice. For what? To score some marginally relational point to abortion as it applies to your precepts in America?
Pffttt

You talking about abortion? Or are you saying women should only have limited rights over their bodies? I agree women shouldn't be forced to have abortion nor should they be forced to have a female circumcision just because it's a centuries-old practice. But, if the women chose to follow their customs and have the female circumcision it's done of your friggen business, hell they don't even force tax payers to pay for the circumcision. You damn people who feel you can deny women decisions over their bodies piss me off.

Not a peep from women rights groups concerning the UN voting to deny women decisions over their bodies. It shows that their arguement for abortions on demand is nothing more than dumping responsibily of having to raise a child...why do they deny that?
