If nominated, I am now convinced that the confirmation process would be lengthy, disruptive and costly – to you and to our most pressing national and international priorities,” Rice wrote in a letter to President Obama obtained by NBC News. “That trade-off is simply not worth it to our country…Therefore, I respectfully request that you no longer consider my candidacy at this time.”
Translation - Obama told me he was selecting John Kerry.

That would be the biggest mistake ever. The Republicans need that Senate seat they've been waiting to get Kerry out of there.. Plus I don't think Kerry would be a good Sec. of State and I'll tell you why without swift boating him.. I didn't like the way he handled himself in either gulf wars.. He was a failure at trying to be a diplomant... Nope Kerry is a good senator and that's where he should stay.

Lumpy, Kerry is a bad Senator but I believe that he is not really doing any harm at the moment.

Which is why he can stay where he's at.. Obama already has to deal with Biden

Lumpy, Kerry is a bad Senator but I believe that he is not really doing any harm at the moment
Kerry is a great Senator but Rice would have been a better Secretary of State. I'm baffeled as to why Rice would allow herself to be seated in the back of the bus.
