Just learned that if a victim of the storm feels their insurance company isn't treating them right and they can't afford an attorney Obama will arrange for attorneys to help fight for their rights at no cost to the storm victims. Now that's stepping up to the plate and doing what's right.

I feel for the people who lost property in Sandy but I can't say that I support Obama paying individual law suits between insurance customers and the companies they are making claims to. It doesn't seem like a very prudent way to spend money we borrow from China, since it's the lawyers who will make out the best. A word or two from the justice department might be appropriate but not paying for private lawyers.

I don't support Obama paying for the law suits either, but I do support the plan to provide people who can't afford to stand up to insurance companies with attorneys to defend their rights.

NJ and NY has run out of attorneys to represent the victims, the Justice Department is having some brought in as far away as California. Instead of tax payers paying for the attorneys, the Justice Department should be making the insurance companies for them. In any case I'm glad to see Obama is keeping his promise to do all he can for the victims.

Like everywhere else, those people made the decision to live in a storm prone area, just because this storm was worse than others doesn't change the fact that they should understand their insurance coverage, that they are responsible for their property, and that it's not the responsibility of the tax payers to do anything for them.

This is another example of Obama failure, Obama screwing the tax payers, Obama giving away money he doesn't have to people that should have to be responsible for their own bad choices.

They need lawyers to make sure they get paid every penny the insurance companies owe them. Obama knows they don't have the money to pay for the lawyers they need so it's the right thing for the Government to help them out and pay for the lawyers. Helping people out who have lost everything is money well spent.
